- Immaculate Cleanliness & Maintenance: Visitors repeatedly emphasize the "immaculate" condition of the campground and the "spotless" and "never clean" (This contradicts the first review that states 'Bathrooms are never clean'. To ensure factual accuracy, the negative review from the prompt about "Bathrooms are never clean" should be acknowledged without invention. So, let's rephrase this point to reflect the provided, conflicting data, while still emphasizing positive highlights from other reviews.) bathrooms, along with the absence of trash anywhere. This dedication to cleanliness significantly enhances the guest experience. Correction: While some general public listings highlight cleanliness, one provided review explicitly states "Bathrooms are never clean, campsites are not the cleanest". This indicates a potential inconsistency in guest experience regarding cleanliness. However, other provided reviews strongly praise the campground as "Immaculate" with "No trash... to be found anywhere". Therefore, a highlight is the aim for and potential for exceptional cleanliness, as experienced by many, alongside a recognition of varied guest experiences.
- Private & Spacious Campsites: Guests appreciate the "clean, private and close to the bathrooms" campsites. The "fully wooded electric & non-electric sites" and "very spacious large group sites" cater to diverse needs while ensuring a sense of seclusion and comfort.
- Exceptional Customer Service & Accommodating Owners: The owners are frequently lauded as "great and accommodating" and "great hosts," providing "valuable information on current attractions" and going out of their way to ensure a great stay. Customer Reviews
We are so happy we found RFC. We visited 2 times this summer! We had so much fun rafting with our friends that we brought our 3 boys. Absolutely gorgeous river! Owners are great and accommodating. Our campsites were clean, private and close to the bathrooms. I highly recommend rafting WITH River Forest Campground. They have top of the line kayaks and rafts (we did both) and equipment and they also offer a guide named Eddie who is SO knowledgeable about the river and culture. Super good dude! We had an absolute blast! Call ahead and reserve your boats and Eddie! We are already booked for next year. We want to find better fishing spots and try ATV trails next time. We made great memories!!!
To the owners of River Forest Campground, thank you so much for a great stay with family our and friends. You all were great hosts. With valuable information on current attractions, rafting, restaurants and bakery needs for a surprise birthday cake. The campground itself was Immaculate. No trash. To be found anywhere on the grounds that was left behind. Even the bugs were kept down to a bare minimum. Great Job! Thank you again for a great time had by all.
This campground is being renovated and already is a beautiful place to enjoy camping in the outdoors. The sites are spacious and not right on top of each other. They offer rafting and tubing trips as well as offering to loan you an extension cord if needed. The staff delivered wood by the bucket full to your campsite for you! Bathrooms and showers were cleaned often throughout the weekend. We can’t wait to go back to this well maintained campground where friendship and pride are shown in how they run the place.
This is mine and my groups favorite campground to stay at. We've been coming for 4 years now and have never been disappointed. Amy and Raf are the best owners ever, going above and beyond to ensure you have a good stay. You can get wood delivered right to your campsite at a good price. The campsites are also very spacious. And the rafting is always soo much fun. We love it here and can't wait to be back next year!!
My husband and I have been coming here annually for the past 15 years. It's always been a great place to stay but the new owners, Raf & Amy, really go above and beyond! They deliver wood to the campsite, put down fresh gravel, host fun events, and online booking is a breeze. The shuttle to and from rafting at Big Smokey is the greatest benefit because it keeps everyone safe. Camping at River Forest is my favorite vacation because I know what to expect and we're always well taken care of. See you next year!
