Customer Reviews
I was traveling off-season and was having a hard time finding an open campground—most places around here were still closed and didn’t have any amenities. I really needed a shower, and luckily I came across River Road RV Park and Campground. They were open even before the regular season started, and they offered showers for just $10, which was a huge relief. They even provided a blanket with the shower, which was a nice bonus. The place was clean, accessible, and exactly what I needed at the time. Very grateful they were open—definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area!
This review is delayed but greatly owed to this fine establishment. I can say without hesitation that this is the best campground I have ever stayed at. The staff went above and beyond their responsibilities as hosts. I had trouble with my car battery, and they helped jump me on two separate occasions. When a vicious thunderstorm rolled through while we were in the mountains, two of the staff members tied down our belongings and prevented our tents and many other items from being ruined. I just want to thank them again and highly recommend that you visit River Road RV Park if you're heading to the Porkies!!!
Love this campground! Our family has two seasonal sites here. Ontonagon is a beautiful little village with lots to offer and explore. Danielle (Dani) is super helpful and does an amazing job of keeping this campground looking nice and keeping it clean!! The showers and bathrooms are amazing! We highly recommend this place.
4 seniors here exploring and enjoying this beautiful area! We were very disappointed to pull in and see the campers so close to each other. We asked if she sold ice. No. We then went to the bathroom /shower area. It was FILTHY. We stayed for 2 days and didn't see any cleaning done. We won't be back.
We stayed here a week while visiting the Porcupine mountains and the Keweenaw peninsula. You face your neighbors RV and share a grassy site. Hookups are between the RVs and out of the way. A bit unique but not bad. We would not hesitate to come back.
