This location places it in the scenic, rolling hills of rural Tennessee, offering a sense of peaceful seclusion while still being conveniently accessible. Chapel Hill itself is a small, charming town that provides basic amenities and a quiet atmosphere, contributing to the park's tranquil vibe.
A significant advantage of its location is its proximity to prominent natural attractions. The park is just minutes away from the Duck River, a beloved spot for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and exploring wetlands. Additionally, it's located "just down from Henry Horton State Park campground," meaning guests have easy access to the extensive offerings of a full-service state park, including golf, hiking trails, and a restaurant, all within a short drive.
While the address specifies River Road, accessibility from major routes is quite manageable. From I-65, travelers are advised to take Exit 46 (Columbia) and follow signs towards Henry Horton State Park, turning right on 31A, then right on River Road just before the bridge. The campground will be on your right approximately 1.5 miles from 31A. Reviewers note that while the internal roads within the park can be "a little narrow," the sites themselves are "solid" with both pull-through and back-in options, accommodating various RV sizes. Its rural setting means you're away from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to enjoy local conveniences and popular outdoor destinations. There is a train track nearby, which some reviewers mention as a "faint sound," but generally not disruptive to the overall peace.

This inherent value proposition is a form of "offer" for those who prefer a less crowded, more authentic experience.
- Personalized Service: While not a quantifiable discount, the highly praised personal touch from the owner, Pam, including bringing firewood and checking in on guests, adds immeasurable value to the stay, enhancing the overall experience.

Customer Reviews
Peaceful Stay with a Personal Touch – A Great Basecamp, Not a Resort We just spent a few days at River Road RV Park and Horse Camp in Chapel Hill, TN, and it was exactly what we needed—quiet, peaceful, and welcoming. Pam, the owner, was absolutely wonderful. She brought us firewood when we ran low and checked in with us regularly just to make sure we were doing okay. You can tell she really cares about the people staying there. Her sweet lab, Charlie, made fast friends with our older farm dog, and watching them play together was such a joy. This is not a resort, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. The campground is simple but clean. There’s a laundry room with a bath and shower, and a little swing set for the kids. That’s really it in terms of on-site entertainment—but we didn’t come here for that. We were looking for a quiet place to park the camper, rest at night, and head out on adventures during the day—and this place was perfect for that. The property has a few mini ponies that were fun to watch, and we spotted rabbits, squirrels, and all kinds of birds. It’s a working farm, so don’t expect manicured landscaping or luxury amenities. But what you will find is good people, a calm atmosphere, and a beautiful slice of Tennessee countryside. Many of the other campers seemed to be staying long-term while working nearby, but everyone was friendly and respectful. The roads are a little narrow, but the sites are solid, with both pull-through and back-in options. If you’re looking for a resort with all the bells and whistles, this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for peace and quiet, kind people, and a great spot to explore places like Duck River or Henry Horton State Park just minutes away, you’ll feel right at home here. We definitely did.
This place is great. If you want camping, not Glamping this place is for you. Friendly, secure all around excellent place . Faint sounds of roosters crowing in the mornings, the neighs of horses are a great addition to the all around camp life. Minutes from the duck river, where you can rent canoes and kayaks. Great nature trails to explore the wetlands next to the river, just across the road.
The woman who runs it was very nice as were her dogs.. People complaining are crazy it’s kept clean and nice. I seen a few old rvs but this place is an excellent price and shaded!
Why is that dog on such a short leash? I hope he isn’t like that all day!
Stayed here for a little over a month while working in the area. Very quiet, no frills RV park. She does have a coin operated laundry that's very convenient and affordable. Really enjoyed getting welcomed by her very friendly dog every day. Such a sweet pup.
