We love coming here! Nice variety of RV sites on both sides of the park. Nice spacing so your neighbor is NOT right on top of you. Lots of wonderful trees and shade. There is a River side and an up the hill side as we call it. Been coming here for a couple of years. Nice hiking, easy access to the river and 8 mile river bike trail. Lots of great places to eat and visit in Kerrville.

Convenient and well-maintained, formerly a state park. For about $30/night you get a spacious pull-through with full hookups. We prefer the Deerfield side, rather than the river side...much less traffic noise. At this campground, you feel like you're out in some remote location, and yet it's less than 10 minutes to the grocery store or movie theater. If you're unfamiliar with the Deerfield loop, ask for 123 or 125 or 127 in that order.

We like it. It is not as busy when it is during the week. The price is reasonable. We brought our motorhome because our ac at the house quit working on a Saturday. We left the house at 2:30 pm & inside the house was 89° F! The motorhome is much more comfortable!
