Customer Reviews
I was traveling from Minnesota to Kansas with two horses when I contacted Janna at Singing Mesa. I was looking for a place to stop overnight, but also wanted to get a quick ride in. Janna was SO helpful. She is very welcoming. She told me everything I needed to know about staying at SMR (Janna happened to be out of town on her own horse camping trip). The ranch is very neat and organized. I used two of the outside covered pens for my mares. I was able to pull my LQ trailer right across from the pens. There as electric and water available and nice picnic tables. I am super happy the pens are covered with sturdy metal roofs because there was quite a storm and rain that evening. My mares were nice and dry the next morning. Riding: I had a nice ride through open fields and saw turkeys, deer and raccoons. The trails are marked with ribbons, but Janna told me I was welcome to ride off-trail and explore. That's what I did. There are a few water crossings and pretty scenery. I think the pricing is very reasonable for such new and safe accommodations. If I ever need a place to overnight in the area again, I would absolutely stay at Singing Mesa Ranch!
I would give this place a thousand stars if I could! I can't recommend it enough! The owners are wonderful people, very kind, very helpful, and make you feel welcome. They had great facilities and really went above and beyond for us when I was having a rough time with my chronic illness. They are wonderful with the horses there and were great about our dogs and especially with us having 3 most other places would not allow us to stay. If you are traveling through or looking for an extended stay I can't recommend them highly enough. Please consider spending a night or a month here, I promise you won't regret it! This will be our go to when we need a place to take care of our horses or when we need somewhere to stop for a night.
I highly recommend Singing Mesa! My fiancé and I decided we wanted to camp with our horses, of course last minute, on Labor Day weekend. Jana was awesome to work with and had a spot for our tent and horses! Upon arrival she let us know that the cabin they had was available due to a cancellation, so we decided to stay in it. It is the perfect size and you have your own area away from the rest of the campers and their horses. The view is absolutely incredible and the hospitality is even better! We still have one more day left and I’m excited to explore the rest of the trails they have created on this beautiful property!
Singing Mesa is a wonderful place to arena and trail ride, attend a clinic, board, and camp. The owners are extremely knowledgeable about equine health and management. They make every effort to ensure that horses and riders are well taken care of. They are extremely responsive, and Jana has supported my daughter in all of her equine activities from cowgirl queen preparation, to opening her arena and providing desensitizing objects for the horses, introduction to calf roping, and so much more. The facility is beautiful and well kept. It is family friendly and boarded horses are tended to like they are at a spa. Highly recommend!
Absolutely beautiful and restful stop from our travels. The barn was very well maintained and clean for our 4 legged family members. We rented the camper on site which was cozy and welcoming. Jana greeted us upon arrival and made us feel right at home.
