We are very thankful for our stay at the campground last year for the (small bore @ The Gorge) annual group ride here in Kentucky! The owner was so kind to let us come to stay at the site. It was perfect for what we needed! It has lots of space to stage the event! The owner is very cool as I enjoyed talking with him last year. He definitely wanted us coming back this year, to which he showed great excitement when I asked about doing so! A good primitive campground with large flat open areas ideal for a larger youth group. Portable toilets were spaced throughout the campground and a water spigot was available near the highway. There are several dead trees along the riverbank, so choose your campsite and tent areas wisely. The campground was not very busy on a peak weekend in October. Knocking one star since there isn't any staff on-site and neighbors can be bit loud late into the night.

Overall a nice place, there’s cheap firewood and each official Tent camp site has a fire pit ready. It stays cool in the shade and by the river and gets pretty cold at night.
