Just ended our 4th winter here in Spanish Lakes Mobile Home Park in Nokomis Fla. After renting for so many years which got too $$$ we made the decision to buy. So much easier than a 2nd home and much cheaper!! This Mobile Home Park is one of the best with such close proximity to Nokomis beach, Legacy 25 mile rail trail 2 blocks away, where we love biking. Also lots of nearby shopping and 15 minutes to the sweet town of Venice where there are also great beaches, restaurants & interesting small stores to browse & shop. Saturday Farmers markets are fun. We love our turn key newly renovated 3 bedroom 2 bath mobile home in the pet section with a rare private backyard. Also the community offers a large heated pool, sauna, Bocce, Shuffle Board & other activities like ping pong, golf league & more. There is a large renovated clubhouse with an industrial kitchen, library, ping pong, Pool tables & yoga classes. The only thing lacking is a Pickle board court but we play 2xs a week at the community park 5 minutes away. We love the easy maintenance and low HOV fee which includes taxes, garbage pick up, lawn mowed, water & basic cable. What more does a person need? Now we can be snowbirds & fly away from cold NY winters for 3.5 months. The only negative is the entrance. The sign needs to be bigger but a gated entry is being added this year. Landscaping with some large trees would make a huge difference. Once you enter the homes are well kept and we have 2 big ponds with fountains. Our new manager Abby has really worked hard to fix all the problems that were neglected before she came on board. Check out our website with homes for sale and rentals as well. I also love being so close to Casey Key, Siesta Key & Myakka State Park. The city of Sarasota is only a 35 minute drive. Nice place to live! BUT, management leaves a lot to be desired! The background check is a joke! It’s $50.00 in management’s pocket! They expect YOU to do their job!! YOU have to prove any discrepancies! I thought that was their job?!?! Himmm…..

I have recently purchased a set of tires for each of our 2 vehicles. Although they were understaffed, their service was not lacking. The waiting time was very minimal. I was very satisfied with my purchases.
