Location and Accessibility

Straight Park Campground is ideally located at 100 Straight Park Rd, Fonda, IA 50540, USA. This address places it squarely in the heart of Fonda, offering convenient access for local residents and those traveling from other parts of Iowa. The campground is situated near Marvin Lake/pond and a ball field, providing a picturesque backdrop and immediate access to recreational opportunities.

While the location offers many benefits, it’s worth noting accessibility points for larger vehicles. One past visitor highlighted that the "Exit is around the lake with low hanging trees," advising those with tall rigs (like a 13' 9" tall, 41' long fifth wheel) to "turn around... and go out entrance" to avoid issues. They also explicitly stated, "Do NOT take exit road over railroad tracks." This practical advice ensures that all campers, particularly those with bigger RVs, can navigate the park safely and without incident. The proximity to local roads and the town of Fonda means easy access to supplies, dining, and other necessities, making your camping trip hassle-free. The park is well-integrated into the local landscape, offering both a sense of escape and the convenience of being near community resources.

Shared water spigot for neighboring site, sewer and 50amp for $15 a night, maximum 14 nights. Near Marvin lake/pond and ball field. Exit is around the lake with low hanging trees, we will turn around our 13' 9" tall, 41' long fifth wheel and go out entrance. Do NOT take exit road over railroad tracks. Train blows horn at 6:05am everyday, no other trains during quiet hours. Park restroom only, no showers. Dump station available, but difficult for big rig access.
