This campground offers a blend of rustic charm and engaging activities, aiming to provide a haven for campers looking to unwind and connect with nature. It’s designed to be a place where memories are made, whether you’re casting a line in the pond, enjoying live music, or simply relaxing by a crackling campfire.
Camping in Michigan is more than just pitching a tent; it’s about embracing the diverse landscapes our state has to offer. From the Upper Peninsula's rugged wilderness to the gentle rolling hills of the Lower Peninsula, there's a camping experience for everyone. Taylor's Lost Haven Campground fits perfectly into this tapestry, offering a welcoming atmosphere for both quiet retreats and lively family fun.
One recent camper shared their fantastic Memorial Weekend experience at Taylor's Lost Haven: "Had a wonderful memorial weekend at Taylor’s Lost Haven! They had bingo during the day, which was a lot of fun, and then a nice band in the evening. The band was very enjoyable- not too loud and people were up dancing and having a good time. They had Amish baked goods for sale and the owners were very kind and attentive! They had a very nice playground for kids, a lot of people were fishing in the pond and they had some neat animals to pet! Other campers were very nice and welcoming. Would definitely camp here again!" This review paints a picture of a vibrant and engaging atmosphere, highlighting the variety of activities and the friendly nature of both staff and fellow campers.
However, it's also worth noting that experiences can vary based on individual preferences and the timing of your visit. Another camper mentioned, "Was expecting a small quiet campground. It was small, but not quiet. Unfortunately the weekend we chose, there was a band. As luck would have it, they played right next to our site. Therefore, it was not quiet, people were walking and stumbling through our campsite. We were looking forward to sitting by the fire and talking. Sadly, we couldn’t do that. Also, it had rained before we arrived, so the site was soft and muddy. Dogs next to us and across from us were constantly barking." This review underscores the importance of considering the campground's event schedule and potential for lively activities if a quiet retreat is your primary goal.

May 25, 2025 · Jennifer WetzelMaiden voyage for our new camper. Was a great place for that. Owners were very nice and helpful. This is not a brand new facility, yet the shower/ bathrooms were very clean and everything functions well. Quite a few seasonal and the few we talked to were great. Go for a walk and lots of people wave their hello's. Nice playground for kids. I was baffled as to why there were empty spots. We will be back.
Jul 29, 2024 · Bruce PrevostReally enjoyed our stay there. Nice and peaceful. Never really talked to the owners but gentleman was eager to answer question when I attempted to go to store. Large lots. Could not get water hookup to stop leaking how ever. Lot of seasonal campers there that were friendly.
Aug 05, 2021 · Steve ChippNice and quiet. Sites are only about 20 feet wide by 60 feet deep. Not a lot of room left when you have a travel trailer. Tents would be better here. Very affordable rates. Pike can be caught in the pond. Playgrounds and pavilion available. A mini horse, Steve the goat and a couple of pigs for petting and feeding. Small campground but that just makes it less noisy and hectic.
