Customer Reviews
I raised my kids in this community. Over the years I have witnessed so many different staff members come and go. I could always call them depending on their attitude when conversing with them. This property was once the largest mobile home community in the state (I don’t know if that’s still true today). With that being said, this property will humble you!! It matters not if you are a staff member or a resident. Today, I’m once again proud to say that my home is in the Highlands. We are a MOBILE HOME COMMUNITY not a trailer park. The staff and residents (the majority) care about this place. It’s convenient to literally everything. Just minutes away from every major retail store, restaurants, the Amphitheater, Churches, hospitals, DR offices, amazing baseball fields not to mention the schools. And now we have Pearl Fire House # 5 literally as our next door neighbors. Is it expensive to live here?-yes. But at the end of the day, it matters not where you live. It’s how you live that counts.
I enjoy living here. It is well kept and clean. Only issue is people walking in the middle of the roads and kids running across the street unsupervised, so you definitely have to watch out for people but other than that I’ve had no issue.
We have been here just about 3 years now and we love it here. We have some really great neighbors near us and have even made some close friends. I will say the lot rent is a bit steep to me, BUT I do not know the going rates around or what all considerations are made when setting rates. I do know Management strives hard to keep our community clean and trouble free and Management does not set the rates! We have 2 pools open May to September which is par for the course as far as the season goes and a pretty new park for the kids and adults alike, and it is nice! It's nestled by the pond where we can fish and the pond has a nice covered pier! The community has grown over the last few years and yes while i agree that another amenity or two would be nice, know that some of the residents here tear alot up and also allow there kids to roam and destroy things, so its hard to keeo adding amenities when our neighbors aren't helping take care of things we already have. My family and I thoroughly enjoy the pool, we take the Littles to the park, and we fish often. All in all it is a nice and quiet place to live. You will find rules wherever you go and they are in place for a reason. If you have an issue and need help, all you have to do is contact Management and ask or explain your situation, they will do their best to helpmp if they can. One thing about this place, or at least our little area where we are, there is a sense if community and I love that!! When our time comes to move along, we will miss truly miss it!
Make sure to read all reviews before buying or renting Rent of just the land is at 500+ dollars. This does not include what you will pay for monthly for the mobile home. New trailers her can start at 1000 and go close to 1500, now add 500 to that and you might as well buy a brick home. . April 16th notice goes out. If you own 3 vehicles you can not have it parked near the road or in the grass. You must park is all the way down by the pool. Edit as of April 6th 2025. The new lot price has increased another year in a row to 25 more dollars a month. Making your land price 500 dollars, more than a mortgage on the mobile homes. Do not invest in anything here. It will be a major long-term regret. There are 2 amenities here. The pool is closed down. And there is a small park by a lake. The fee to live here will increase every year by 25 dollars. The land lease alone without a mobile home is 475 as of 6/12/24. If you don't cut your grass every 2 weeks, they'll charge you 50 dollars per inspection for a whopping 100 dollars extra a month. Under normal circumstances, I would agree, but they charge so much without any real amenities. It isn't justified. No air conditioner maintenance or replacement. There is nothing for kids to do here at all. Nothing is allowed in your yard. Basketball goals, throwing balls, kicking them, etc, are all prohibited. They sell some of their places with broken steps There is a sewage back up problem that had to be flushed out every 6 months that comes in your home. This place is a trap. If you move in here to rent, they will give you 1 price the first year, ours was around 750/m. Well the next year they give out papers saying either spend 920 a month on a 30 year old trailer or buy it. So you end up buying it. Here's the kicker. The lot fee constantly goes up each year. The current rate is 450/m on the lot alone. They have the worst maintenance crew. I sent 27 a/c request in one year. They never fixed my a/c issues. They encourage you to buy windows units. They don't do upkeep maintenance like painting the roofs. If your late on grass some how it's worth 50 dollars to get their crew to do it on lots that are maybe 6 or 7 strips long. Kid's are not allowed to do anything here. I'm not sure where all the money you pay for this place goes, but it's not to the community. If you do move here, never buy from here, you'll be stuck paying their lot fee unless you move your mobile home, which companies might not even move because they're old.
I lived here for a few years and had no problems! The ladies in the office were always nice and helpful. It’s nice and quiet. And don’t hate cause they enforce rules. They just wanna keep it nice and clean and not let it get all nasty. Nobody likes dirty neighbors.
