The RV Resort About

For those of us traversing the vast highways of Texas in our RVs, or perhaps seeking a temporary home base, finding a convenient and accommodating place to set up camp is always a priority. The RV Resort in Alvarado, TX, aims to be just that – a straightforward and accessible option for travelers and long-term residents alike. Situated strategically along a major interstate, it offers a practical solution for parking your rig and exploring the surrounding North Texas region.

While every RV park has its unique characteristics, The RV Resort offers a place to connect your utilities, do laundry, and rest in a location that's easy to access. It's designed for those who appreciate direct access to major routes and a simple, no-frills approach to RV living.

For Texans who are often on the go, or those needing a temporary spot for work or family visits in the DFW metroplex, The RV Resort presents itself as a viable option. It’s a park where you can find the basic necessities to make your stay comfortable, especially if ease of navigation and proximity to major roads are high on your list of priorities. Like any destination, it’s important to understand what makes it suitable for your specific RVing needs, and this overview aims to provide that clarity.

The RV Resort is located at 5300 S I35W, Alvarado, TX 76009, USA. This address places it directly alongside Interstate 35W, a major artery connecting Fort Worth to points south. For RVers, this is a significant advantage, as direct access to a major interstate simplifies arrival and departure, minimizing the stress of navigating through complex city streets with a large vehicle. Its position makes it an ideal stopover for those traveling long distances through Texas or as a convenient base for exploring the broader Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.

The accessibility is a key highlight. Pulling off the interstate and directly into the park means less time on the road and more time relaxing. While Alvarado itself is a smaller community, its proximity to Fort Worth (just a short drive north) means that a wide array of shopping, dining, entertainment, and essential services are within easy reach. This balance of quiet location and urban access can be very appealing. Navigating through the park itself is also noted as being very easy, even with large RVs, which is a crucial factor for many big rig owners. The clear pathways and generous site lengths contribute to a smooth experience from the moment you arrive.

While specific, publicly advertised promotions or special offers are not detailed in the provided information for The RV Resort, it's common for RV parks, especially those catering to both transient and longer-term guests, to have varying rate structures. Prospective visitors should always contact the park directly to inquire about current pricing, including any available discounts for extended stays (weekly or monthly rates). It's important to note from a previous customer's experience that paying with a credit card may incur additional fees, so inquiring about payment options and their associated costs is advisable. For instance, a monthly rate could see an increase of approximately $30 due to these fees. Therefore, when you call The RV Resort, be sure to ask about their monthly rates, any discounts for longer commitments, and clarify all potential additional charges, especially those related to payment methods. We stayed here for five weeks. Our site was an uncovered pull-thru. Kim, the office manager, and John, the maintenance technician, are both very friendly and helpful. We liked the park's location and found it very easy to navigate through with a large RV. The site was long enough to easily accommodate our F250 and our 40-ft 5th wheel. The sewer connections are at the rear of the site, so we needed to bring out our longest hoses in order to reach the waste valves at the front of our rig. I feel that the pull-thrus are a little closer together than I prefer. Our sewer connection was very close to our neighbor's picnic table. If you prefer more space between you and the next RV, you may want to choose one of the back-in sites. The laundry room has three front-load washers and three dryers. Payment is by card only, and the card readers can be very temperamental, especially on windy days. We had just come from a park that was very diligent about wiping down their machines twice a day, so I was disappointed that the washers were often dirtier than I am used to. Although generally a nice park, I think that it is a little overpriced, especially since there is no cable service and the Wifi is only free for a limited period of time. Future guests may also want to know that paying with a credit card will result in extra fees. For a monthly rate, those fees increased our payment by about $30.

DO NOT USE THIS RV PARK. I have been trying to figure out how to apply and the manager has been blowing me off. They then told me that I had 3 days to move in even through they have said for a deposit it was a week. They had horrible customer service. Everytime I asked about a space they turned out the next day and said it wasn’t available even though they never answered my messages. Find a better park with better service

The park itself is nice, all concrete, covered spots available, dog park, pool laundry etc. The problem is that my girlfriend committed suicide in my camper while I was staying there. Adding to my grief and suffering, the owners of the park evicted me due to "police activity"! We weren't fighting, causing a scene, playing loud music, dealing drugs, I called 911 because she ended her life! Very traumatic day, and zero care from the owners! Don't plan on calling 911 if you're there, you'll be kicked out and moving with their eviction notice! Absolutely horrible experience during the worst time of my life!

The park is beautiful and always clean we love it here and the location is prefect. The manager Kim is outstanding and great at getting things completed and enforcing policies. We have a covered spot and do pay a higher cost then some other parks in the area but the spaces are much larger and worth the cost. We use all the amenities and they’re always clean and feel refreshed. They’re our things that can happen out of management’s control and Kim is always great to inform the whole park and keep us updated. Thank you again Staff at The RV resort for your hard work and dedication.
