- Florida Resident Discounts: Florida residents who are 65 years of age or older, or who hold a Social Security disability award certificate or a 100% disability award certificate from the federal government, are eligible for a 50% discount on the base campsite fees. Proof of eligibility is required upon arrival. (Note: This discount usually does not apply to the non-refundable reservation fee or the nightly utility fee for RV units).
- Reservation Window: Florida residents can make campsite or cabin reservations up to 11 months in advance, giving them priority booking for popular dates.
- Seasonal Rates: While specific promotions aren't widely advertised, camping fees can sometimes vary based on season or demand. It’s always advisable to check the official Florida State Parks reservation website or call the park directly for the most current pricing and availability.
- Group Camping Rates: Specific rates apply for primitive youth group camping.

Customer Reviews
Excellent campground. Very quiet. Sand road is a bit snug & curvy in parts of the loop but I have a mid sized 5th wheel. Lots of access to the river. Excellent store (the outpost). Lots of planned activities. Kayak rental on property. No sewer but my site had 50 amp. Only the handicap access sites have paved sites. Picnic tables & fire pits. Older but clean shower/bathrooms. Lots of shade. Close access to grocery, other shopping & nice restaurants.
I’ll review this by comparing it to a dozen other Florida state parks we’ve stayed in. It is not one of their best, as it lacks many of the upgrades so many others offer. But, sites are private, with an old Florida appeal. Not big rig friendly, road is narrow & lots of pot holes. We were comfortable with 17’ trailer. Bathrooms are OK. It is a quiet & pretty, and if you come with kayak even better. Very deep potholes in exit road, be careful!
Really nice campground that we have been to twice now. Roomy sites and lots of walking areas. Beautiful sunsets creekside.
Nice older park. Shaded sites with tons of trees. Over 100 sites can fill up on weekends due to relative proximity to the beach. Mosquitos are an issue (Summer opinion). Picnic areas and pavilions available. Bathrooms are older but clean. Last star was held because of bugs that made outdoor activities difficult.
Great campground! Wonderful staff. From the people who work there or volunteer they all work hard and do there jobs and are very friendly. The place is kept very clean from the grounds to the bathrooms. The Outpost or country store there has everything else you need or that you forgot at home and you can even rent kayaks or canoes. All the people at the store are very friendly as well as helpful and even told me a lot about the area Just a beautiful area to fish and explore!
