As a Michigan State Forest Campground, Van Etten Lake State Forest Campground operates under the Michigan DNR's standard fee structure, which aims to keep camping accessible and affordable. Nightly rates are typically very reasonable, often around $20 per night. These rates are consistent across most state forest campgrounds, reflecting their rustic nature and commitment to providing low-cost outdoor recreation.
It is important to remember that a Michigan Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry to all Michigan state parks and recreation areas, including state forest campgrounds. This annual pass is an excellent value for Michiganders who frequently utilize the state's incredible public lands. While specific, time-limited "promotions" in the commercial sense are not typically offered at state forest campgrounds, the inherent affordability and the requirement of the Recreation Passport serve as a continuous value proposition for local users, encouraging them to explore more of Michigan's diverse natural attractions. Any changes to pricing or special advisories would be communicated through the official Michigan DNR website or on-site signage.
