For Texans who enjoy the freedom of RV travel, selecting the right campground is a crucial part of any journey, whether it's a planned vacation or an unexpected overnight stop. The choice of an RV park can significantly impact the overall experience, influencing everything from comfort and convenience to safety and enjoyment. When considering options in the East Texas region, particularly around Longview, you might come across Wanda’s KK R.V. Park. This article aims to provide an overview of Wanda’s KK R.V. Park, based on available public information and direct customer feedback, to help prospective visitors make an informed decision. It's important to approach any travel accommodation with a clear understanding of what to expect, and this overview will delve into the various aspects of the park as reported by those who have recently stayed there. While all RV parks offer a place to park, the quality of amenities, maintenance, and overall environment can vary greatly. This guide is designed to give you a factual perspective on Wanda's KK R.V. Park to assist in your travel planning.
Wanda’s KK R.V. Park is located at 15229 Farm to Market 968 W, Longview, TX 75602, USA. This address places the park within the general vicinity of Longview, a significant city in East Texas. Farm to Market (FM) roads are part of the state highway system in Texas, primarily serving rural areas and connecting farms and ranches to market towns. This suggests the park is situated in a more rural or semi-rural setting, likely offering a quieter environment away from the immediate hustle and bustle of downtown Longview.
Accessibility is often a key consideration for RVers, especially those navigating larger rigs. Being on an FM road might imply a less congested approach than major highways, though it's important to note the specific road conditions upon arrival. For travelers coming from different parts of Texas or neighboring states, Longview itself is well-connected by major routes such as Interstate 20. Depending on the exact location along FM 968 W, the park could be a short drive from the main amenities and services available in Longview, such as grocery stores, fuel stations, and restaurants. However, as some reviews suggest, if arriving late or after dark, navigating to and within the park might present challenges due to its reported condition. Understanding the precise location and considering travel time, especially for evening arrivals, is crucial when planning a stop at Wanda's KK R.V. Park.
Based on the direct customer feedback provided, the reported services at Wanda’s KK R.V. Park appear to be a significant concern for visitors. While a typical RV park would offer a standard set of services, the customer review indicates a severe lack of functionality and upkeep.
Given these direct accounts, prospective visitors should be aware that the fundamental services expected at an RV park, particularly waste management and general upkeep, are reportedly not being adequately provided or maintained at Wanda’s KK R.V. Park. It is highly advisable for anyone considering a stay to directly contact the park and inquire about the current status of these critical services before arrival.
When considering features and highlights of an RV park, travelers typically look for aspects that enhance their comfort, convenience, and overall experience. However, based on the singular, stark customer review provided for Wanda’s KK R.V. Park, the existing features appear to be a significant detractor rather than a highlight.
According to the review, the park's key "features" as experienced by a recent visitor include:
It is important for any prospective visitor to be fully aware of these reported conditions before considering a stay at Wanda’s KK R.V. Park. These descriptions directly contradict what would typically be considered positive features of an RV park.
Given the extremely negative nature of the provided customer review for Wanda’s KK R.V. Park, there is no public information or indication of any promotions or special offers being actively extended by this campground. RV parks typically offer various incentives such as:
However, in the context of the reported conditions—including non-functional sewer systems, widespread garbage, abandoned RVs, and muddy ground—it is highly unlikely that any promotions would be a primary consideration for potential visitors. The immediate priority would be verifying the functionality of basic services and the general condition of the park.
Therefore, prospective guests should not expect to find advertised promotions for Wanda's KK R.V. Park. If considering a stay, the focus should be on confirming the current operational status of the park's essential amenities and its overall state of maintenance, rather than seeking out special offers.
While a phone number for Wanda’s KK R.V. Park was not provided in the initial prompt, the physical address is available for geographical reference.
For any inquiries about Wanda’s KK R.V. Park, including current conditions, availability of services, or to verify the accuracy of customer reviews, it would be necessary to try and locate a contact number through other public directories or online searches. Given the severity of the customer feedback, direct communication with the park management or a local representative would be crucial before making any plans to visit. It is highly recommended to attempt contact and gather as much current information as possible, as relying solely on the provided address for a potential stay may lead to an unsatisfactory experience.
Based on the provided customer review, it is challenging to recommend Wanda’s KK R.V. Park as suitable for locals or any traveler seeking a pleasant or functional RV camping experience in Texas. The review describes the park as a "literal dump" with significant issues including "old abandoned rvs, sloppy, muddy, rough ground," "garbage everywhere," and a "non-functional" sewer system. These are critical deficiencies that directly impact the safety, hygiene, and basic usability of an RV park.
While Texans are known for their resilience and appreciation of the outdoors, a campsite with non-functional essential services and severe maintenance neglect is not conducive to a positive camping experience, regardless of its location. For local residents in and around Longview, there are likely numerous other RV parks and campgrounds that offer reliable amenities, maintained grounds, and a welcoming environment. The convenience of a local park is quickly negated if the fundamental services are not operational and the conditions are as described.
Therefore, it is important for any local considering Wanda’s KK R.V. Park to be fully aware of these reported issues. While it might appear as an option on a map, the current public feedback suggests that it does not meet the basic standards expected of an RV park. Locals seeking a convenient and enjoyable RV experience in East Texas would be strongly advised to research alternative options that can guarantee functional amenities and a well-maintained environment for their stay.

Do not stay here! this is a literal dump! Old abandoned rvs, sloppy, muddy, rough ground. Sewer system is non-functional. We stopped late, after dark after a long trip from Colorado. Garbage was everywhere. Had to choose one star to post; this is a negative 5 star dump!
