Located in the heart of North Texas, Bonham and its surrounding areas offer a pleasant escape from the hustle and bustle of larger cities. Warrior Creek RV is positioned to provide a peaceful setting, with plenty of room for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. While like any evolving business, there may be areas under development or improvements being made, the park's core offerings – spacious sites, natural shade, and a quiet atmosphere – are significant draws. It's a place where you can expect to find a community of fellow RVers, including long-term residents who appreciate the calm environment. This article will guide you through what makes Warrior Creek RV a notable choice for your next Texas RV adventure. We'll explore its location, the services and features it provides, and why it holds potential as a suitable spot for local Texans looking for a quiet place to park their home on wheels.
Warrior Creek RV is situated at 6869 State Hwy 121, Bonham, TX 75418, USA. This location places it conveniently along a state highway in Bonham, a charming city in Fannin County, Northeast Texas. Bonham is known for its historic downtown, friendly community, and access to various outdoor recreational areas, including nearby lakes and state parks. The park's position on State Highway 121 suggests good accessibility, making it relatively easy to reach for Texans traveling from different parts of the state, particularly the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, which is a manageable drive away. This ease of access, combined with its rural-adjacent setting, allows for a peaceful camping experience without being completely isolated from town amenities.
While the immediate surroundings of the park are described as having "nice shade trees" and "plenty of room to walk pets, and for kids to play," indicating a natural and open environment, being on a state highway typically means reasonable proximity to local services like grocery stores, fuel stations, and other necessities in Bonham. This balance of a quiet retreat and convenient access to town resources makes Warrior Creek RV a practical choice for both short-term visitors and those considering a longer stay in the North Texas region.
Warrior Creek RV aims to provide a comfortable and functional stay for its guests, focusing on essential RV services. Based on the provided information, the core services offered include:
- Full Hookup Sites: The park offers sites with full hookups, which typically include electricity, water, and sewer connections. It's noted that "All electric, water, and sewer is at very back of sites."
- Electric Hookups: Available at all sites, accommodating various RV power needs (e.g., 30 amp and 50 amp).
- Water Hookups: Fresh water connections are provided at each site.
- Sewer Hookups: Sewer connections are available, though a review mentions a potential challenge with their placement, as "in about half the cases is up hill...we could not hook up to sewer since our connections at mid to front of unit." This is a detail to consider for RVers when selecting a site or bringing extended hoses.
- Back-in Sites: Available at a daily rate of $45.
- Pull-through Sites: Available at a daily rate of $55, offering added convenience for larger rigs.
It's important to note that a review mentions "no bathhouse yet (building it)," indicating that traditional communal bathrooms and showers may not be fully operational or available at the time of visit. Similarly, "no office run out of house or seems like it" suggests that on-site management and check-in procedures might be less formalized than at larger resorts. Guests should confirm current amenities and operational procedures directly with the park.
Warrior Creek RV offers several features and highlights that appeal to those seeking a specific type of RV park experience in Texas:
- Quiet Atmosphere: The park is described as "quiet," which is a significant highlight for those looking to escape noise and enjoy a peaceful environment. This can be especially appealing for long-term residents or those seeking relaxation.
- Nice Shade Trees: The presence of "nice shade trees" is a major plus, particularly during hot Texas summers, offering natural cooling and a more comfortable outdoor living space.
- Plenty of Room for Pets and Kids: The park provides "plenty of room to walk pets, and for kids to play." This indicates open spaces suitable for outdoor activities and pet exercise, making it family and pet-friendly.
- Potential for 5-Star Rating: A reviewer stated the campground "easily has the potential to get 5 stars," suggesting that its fundamental attributes (location, space, shade, quiet) are highly valued.
- Long-Term Stay Potential: The presence of "lots of full timers living there" indicates that the park is well-suited for extended stays, suggesting a stable community and perhaps competitive monthly rates (though not explicitly stated). The park is described as "pretty neat" despite having full-timers, implying a well-maintained environment.
- Convenient Location: Situated on State Hwy 121, it offers good accessibility while providing a rural feel.
However, it's also important to acknowledge areas noted for improvement from reviews, such as "unlevel" sites, and the specific placement of "electric, water, and sewer... at very back of sites which in about half the cases is up hill," which may require longer hoses or leveling equipment for some RVs. The lack of a completed bathhouse at the time of one review, and the apparent absence of a formal office, are also points for potential guests to consider and verify.

Customer Reviews
Stayed here 3 days in mid September this campground easily has the potential to get 5 stars. It is a great location nice shade trees. There is plenty of room to walk pets, and for kids to play. Lots of full timers living there but pretty neat. and quiet...3 issues no bathhouse yet (building it) no office run out of house or seems like it... All electric, water, and sewer is at very back of sites which in about half the cases is up hill...we could not hook up to sewer since our connections at mid to front of unit.....$45 back in $55 pull through
Sites are unlevel. After leaving a deposit for a site, I had an issue and was not able to use it. I tried for a week to contact someone at the office to let them know so they could let someone else have it and I wanted my deposit back. No one ever answers the phone. I went to the location and there was no one there and had a closed sign. Not a very good way to run a business. Ps, there is no way to get ahold of the owner and this excuse is not the true story.
Quiet little place and has nice bathrooms.
A small RV park that needs a lot of attention. It was okay for one night, maybe two if I needed one more night. Friendly staff.
This place is really great, they've worked really hard to keep a park like natural setting: very shaded with a lot of trees and surprisingly quiet given the nearby highway. The owner is very responsive and seems genuinely interested in making it a great natural park to stay in. Full hookups and 50a in every spot! Bonham is about ten minutes away and McKinney is about 25 minutes away.
