Great campground! Owners are very nice and the park itself is well kept and beautiful! Being right next to the Shenandoah River is really nice. If you are trying to go fishing, I suggest going up river a little bit where the water is deeper. There were a lot of fish there but none of them bit for us. 😓 the campground store opens on Memorial Day so it might be closed when you visit. The campsites all didn’t have sewers (I think) so you will need to use the dump station. Great campground, amazing views, worth a visit!

The park flooded before and while we were there We were offered money back if we wanted but we stayed and were well taken care of despite the craziness of rvs having to be moved from water rising. Watched the clean up after water receded. Everyone was busting butt to get things back in order.

I came out here with my brothers and we had a great time. Staff was great -- awesome customer service! Make sure you tip your driver! We went tubing and the trip down the river was about an hour and a half. Make sure to bring some sunscreen with you.

This place used to be legendary for the bluegrass festival that was held there every year. Historic performances from some of our countries greatest... But once covid hit, they decided the sudden popularity (and profits) from random campers were too good to pass up. So, they turned away one of the countries most renowned gatherings of pickers and performers for whatever it’s supposed to be now. It breaks my heart to see this beautiful grove be reduced to downtrodden restrooms and empty lots. Berryville VA is lessened by it, and our lives are cheapened for it. For those wondering, the Watermelon Festival still happens nearby, at the local fairgrounds. Go there if you have the chance. It’s not what it used to be, but it’s a lot more than what this campground will every be on its own.

This RV park is immaculate! I was afraid to make such a nice post because this spot is so nice and very well managed. You almost want to keep it a secret, but watermelon resort deserves all the praise for hosting us. We stayed during a holiday weekend, our check in was simple, gated spots, pristine bathrooms, and beautiful views. The resort has a small market on-site for any missed items and tubing connected to the park. The river is viewed from most of the spots or an easy walk in the park. All patrons minded quiet hours and were courtesy of our camp. We really enjoyed ourselves! If you venture off grounds, there is a nice farmers market with hot pies, fresh produce, and canned goods. It's definitely worth a stop
