Customer Reviews
We had a great time at Watsadler for our 4 night stay. There was plenty of room at our lake front site. The amenities were fair but doable. The staff was friendly and so was everyone else we came in contact with. We had a pull through site which made it a little easier to park. We did notice a few other sites we would like to try next time. We were at campsite #40 and would definitely go there again.
Very nice campground run by the Army Corps of Engineers. Very scenic campsites, many right on the lake, with water and electric. Free dump station for campers.
Fantastic park axing water views Water and electricity No sewer but they have a dump station. Park host are amazingly helpful and truly take pride in their jobs.
Quiet, peaceful campground to relax and take in beautiful Hartwell Lake. Hartwell is a nice town with quite a few local family owned restaurants to choose from. All your usuals are here also, walmart, Home Depot, and all your usual fast food joints (we don't eat fast food, so I can't rate them). We go into town once or twice a week and stroll the downtown district. Lacking are any real historic markers and they don't have much in the way of museums or places of interest. If you are here to relax and sit by a fire at night, this is the place. Firewood is sold across the street from the check in gate and is priced right and burns well. And be sure to visit the dam here. it's pretty awesome
Camping on a lake. What more can I say. Well, how about wonderful and friendly staff? Almost every site has plenty of room for my 30-foot travel tailer. Room to breath between sites. Heavily forested. Nice paved roads throughout. Well maintained grounds. 50amp with water. Affordable, especially with the Seniors National Park discount. Fish or swim from your site. Grill at site. And did I mention camping on a lake? This is a jewel in the Corp of Engineers system. I signed up for 4 more visits for the year.
