I am a travel nurse and called 1 month before my contract was suppose to start looking for a site. I sat on the phone for 45 minutes listening to this elderly woman complain about her tenants, people who have dogs and her insurance premiums. When all I really wanted to know is if she would or would not be able to accommodate my RV for said days. When I pointedly asked if she thought she could her response was she doesn't guarantee sites, she doesn't do online payment, it's first come first serve and 2 others also wanted the last site she had available. I'm traveling with a family, I don't move them around on a whim thinking we "might have a place to stay". She was very rude and unprofessional on the phone and ultimately I decided because of how poorly she conducted herself and the inability to confirm lodgings, I would find lodging elsewhere. Now, a month later this woman has the nerve to call and yell at me for "not showing up or letting her know". Mind you I did not confirm my stay or pay a deposit. Further proof this woman is unprofessional and has no idea how to conduct a business. I would avoid staying here. She seems like a total nightmare.
Aug 18, 2023 · Courtney DeckI love this area. While some claim the owner is rude, I disagree. I’m a single woman Rving and she was so kind to give me a place to rest. We had a nice talk. She even gave me travel tips and step by step helped me get set up. Awesome lady! The place is beautiful. I used electric only so I can’t say much about the water, but I hope to visit again.
May 18, 2023 · TimelessRewind Travel SafePhone rang for a while before an older woman picked up. Was calling to see if they had cabins since I didn't see a website to check for myself. Once she answered the phone, with a "what?" she was rude, saying "No, we do not" in an annoyed tone of voice. Kinda glad she doesn't have cabins. Don't want my parents treated to that same attitude when they come for a visit. I should've looked the reviews first instead of hoping the 3 star rating others gave was just people being picky. They're not. She's rude.
Jul 13, 2023 · Kara HPerfect for a night of rest and relaxation! Can't beat the location for proximity to the interstate, yet tucked away in a green spot with the chirping of birds to wake up to. We scored one of their many flat pull-through sites and hooked up to the electric, etc. All for $23.54 including tax. We called ahead a few hours before and the manager (owner?) met us at the gate to guide us to our spot with her riding lawn mower. Very nice, we'll mark it down for the next time we travel south!
Apr 09, 2021 · Margaret LeBrunWe called last minute as reservations elsewhere were canceled on us. We were taken in, helped to our site. At first the gal was a little gruff, but after chatting with her a few minutes, she was very friendly and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to come back for overnight or a few nights. It's not the Ritz, but we don't need a $100 a night place to park!
