Finding the right RV campground, however, is key to a truly enjoyable experience – one that offers not just a place to park, but a welcoming community and convenient amenities.
Pennsylvania boasts a wide array of RV parks, each offering its own unique charm and features. From rustic retreats nestled deep in the woods to modern resorts with all the comforts of home, there’s an option for every type of traveler. What often sets a great RV park apart is its commitment to cleanliness, its friendly atmosphere, and its ability to make guests feel like they’re part of a family, even if just for a night or a season. For locals, finding a reliable and hospitable campground means having a trusted "home away from home" for their adventures across the Keystone State.
Nestled in the heart of Blair County, Weimers RV 764 Campground, also known for Scott's Arcade, embodies these qualities. The campground’s accessibility is a key highlight, particularly for those on the move. It is strategically positioned near major arteries, including Interstate 99 and US Route 220, which facilitate effortless travel to and from various parts of Pennsylvania and beyond. This close proximity to points of interest enhances the convenience for guests attending events or participating in activities nearby.

As a community-oriented RV park that prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere and convenience, Weimers RV 764 Campground / Scott's Arcade typically doesn't advertise traditional, time-limited "promotions" in the same way a retail business might. Instead, its "special offers" are inherent in the consistent value and high-quality experience it provides to its guests. The core promotion is the reliable assurance of a clean, friendly, and safe place to stay, which is invaluable for travelers.
Key ongoing benefits that act as compelling "promotions" include:
- Flexible Arrival Policy: The ability to "pull in anytime of the day or night and know you will have a spot" is a significant convenience for RVers, eliminating the stress of late-night arrivals or unexpected itinerary changes. This flexibility is a huge draw for spontaneous travelers or those with unpredictable schedules.
- Consistent Hospitality: The recurring theme in reviews of being "friendly and basically friendly all around" and feeling like "family" speaks to a level of customer service and community spirit that many seek but often don't find. This consistent warm welcome is a powerful incentive for repeat visits.
- Cleanliness and Safety: The park is consistently described as "very clean and well kept" and a place where visitors "feel very safe." For any traveler, especially those with families, knowing they are in a secure and well-maintained environment is paramount.
- Bike-Friendly Environment: For cyclists, the explicit mention of being "bike friendly" and its proximity to a charity bike ride venue offers a niche appeal that serves as a specific "offer" to this group of travelers.

While a minor note about "truck noise" is mentioned, the solutions (like running AC in summer) are typical considerations for RVers and don't detract from the overall positive experience. The on-site "Scott's Arcade" adds an extra layer of entertainment, particularly appealing to families with children.
Situated in Duncansville, the campground offers a peaceful setting while remaining easily accessible to major highways and the amenities of Altoona. This blend allows locals to enjoy the tranquility of rural Pennsylvania without being isolated from essential services or attractions. Customer Reviews
I stayed here a few years back, I was there to go on a charity bike ride at roundhouse which is basically across the road. They are bike friendly and basically friendly all around, I'll be staying here again this year. The only small issues I had was the water preasure was pretty high which isn't a bad thing just make sure you have a preasure regulator in your hose. The other was once in awhile there's alittle truck noise but if it's summer and the ac is on you don't hear it nite. Friendly and clean I would recommend
Our home away from home, not many campgrounds can pull in anytime of the day or night and know you will have a spot...This is family....
Found this little gem hidden off of Rt764 by Carson Valley Cemetery. Absolutely amazed at how many games they have! If you haven't tried your luck playing PA Skill games, come to Scott's Arcade and see if you can leave a winner! Very nice owners as well.
Great place to be if you stay to yourself.
From personal experience with this company I can tell you that the owner and staff here are fantastic if you are just looking for a short weekend getaway or a longterm living while your working out of town this place will fit the bill it may not have certain amenities like a play ground or a pool but it has the basic amenities like laundry, bathrooms and a wash house with showers and they are fairly large and very clean, a parts store for all your camper needs they can get just about anything they have free wifi and full hook up options up to 50amp for rv and they also have site available for tenting this community is pretty tight nit and welcoming there are quite a few people who live full time and have some really neat sites and I want to point out that if anyone has read any negative reviews about this place don't judge a book by its cover this place can be great for anyone and the owner is one of the fairest people I've ever met in my life and sometimes people leave here with a bad attitude about this place because they were not paying there rent or breaking some other rule which required them to leave but I will be the first to tell you that the owner is willing to help anyone who comes here but just be honest with him and truthful and pay your rent when due and you will not have 1 issue if you can't manage to make it work here with As fair as the owner is I don't think you could live anywhere because he will always work with you as long as you make there effort and keep your word But in my books this place get a gold star and so does the amazing staff
