I saw some poor reviews, but our experience was 5 star. We arrived on a Monday so there weren't many people. We found a beautiful spot between the two small lakes, the spot was perfectly level. So many kinds of beautiful trees, wildflowers, and so many birds! We came with our freshwater tank full and only needed electricity. We didn't use the restrooms or shower house. It was a peaceful and perfect 3 night stay, beautiful weather, mild, no wind. We enjoyed a very nice walk along the hike and bike trail, and across the long bridge.
Jun 16, 2023 · CThought the camping area was great with the greenery and ponds. Signing in was a snap. Had a free dump with water fill up for RV'S. They had restrooms spaced out. Had a pleasant stay. Should mention to pay attention to low branches for the taller RVs.
Sep 24, 2024 · Michael BrandinBackground: I've camped in 40+ states, almost exclusively in state and national parks. This one is not great. Required to pay for 2 nights when I only needed one, additional $14 fee on arrival for state park pass so I could get to the site I already paid for (felt like a total shake down), quarter showers when we get to our site, but the change machine was broken, and the water absolutely reeked of sulphur. One flush toilet in the entire campground for men, and the pit toilets were not cared for well (as soon as the wind picked up anywhere in the campground, forget eating dinner). My wife said it's pretty here. So that's something.
Jul 20, 2024 · Frank Pelaneklast minute decision, it worked out because there were plenty of available spaces & everyone seemed friendly enough. bathrooms were disgusting tho, don't pitch your tent downwind. (pictured are my girlfriend, our dog, our cat, and all our stuff).
Jul 08, 2023 · chaclyn huntNice campground, some sites are a bit small for large campers. Many sites are near water.
