However, like any popular destination, experiences can vary. While many find the location convenient and the staff friendly, some past guests have noted challenges with after-hours information, occasional facility maintenance issues, or less flexible staff interactions regarding check-out times. It's worth noting that the campground is located next to a busy train track and road, which some visitors find adds charm, while others may experience noise. Customer Reviews
Rented a nice cabin. Well maintained grounds with large trees and grass. Early in the season, so not many people there. Next to busy train track and road, which was not bad. Friendly, helpful staff. They are expanding the grounds for more RV. Should leave a hedge to buffer noise. Bathrooms clean and private.
Where do I start, the lack of info given to the customers because the staff closes and leaves at 5:00? The broken showers? The clogged toilets? We arrived later in the evening. The store was closed. I called the KOA number. They gave me a different number to call. The guy was very rude and told me the sign in the door told me to go to the laundry room, all the info I needed was there. Expect there was not a sign. Several toilets and showers were clogged, dirty and not working the entire weekend. Despite the “we clean several times a day” sign. We are in town for Automotions. We asked the staff to extend our check out time. The lady was very rude. She said she could extend it for 1 hour for $20 and after that it was the entire night, for $81. I asked her to be more flexible, I also asked if the site was booked for the next night. She said no but she was not willing to help. She then advised me that there are several other campgrounds in the area. And started to list them off. She had a I don’t care tone and attitude. So I will take her advice and look elsewhere from now on. I’ve been here several times. And this is the worst this place has ever been run. The entire campground is looking run down and not maintained. Not worth going here anymore.
Spent 2 nights en route back east. The hospitality was top notch and white glove service . Rv sites were well spaced out and the hosts even accommodated our requests to have adjacent sites with our friends. Bathrooms were SPOTLESS and grounds were well manicured. The Amtrak train was a treat and we enjoyed it bustling by. The camp store was well stocked and the coffee was flowing. The pool was closed but understandable due to early in the season. We can’t wait to be back on our way south for the winter. As a loyal KOA member this park is now on my top5 KOAs.
Nicely away from the hubbub of the attractions but close enough to be there in 20 minutes. Nice quiet campground.
Not our favorite koa but we like it. It's convenient. Definitely too close to the train 😬
