Promotions or Special Offers

Camp Wawbeek - Easter Seals Wisconsin Camps operates primarily as a service-oriented organization with a focus on providing specialized care and inclusive recreational opportunities. As such, it typically does not offer "promotions" or "special offers" in the same commercial sense as a general campground or resort. Their emphasis is on accessibility and support for individuals with disabilities.

However, they do address financial accessibility through specific programs:

  • Financial Assistance / Camperships: Easter Seals Wisconsin aims to make camp accessible to as many individuals as possible. They offer "financial assistance" or "camperships" (scholarships) to help families with the cost of attendance. It's noted that "minimal assistance is provided through camperships," and there is "only a limited number available." This support is crucial for many families to afford the specialized care and programming.

  • Veterans Family Camp (Free): A significant and valuable offering is the "Veterans Family Camp," which is "FREE to veterans and their families." Held twice a year, this program provides a unique camping experience, allowing veterans and their families (including those with children with disabilities) to reconnect and network. This is a special program that offers immense value to a specific community.

  • AmeriCorps Opportunities: While not a direct promotion for campers, the "AmeriCorps Respite Apprentices" program offers benefits (living allowance, education award, housing, training) for individuals who serve at the camp. This helps the camp maintain its high staff-to-camper ratios and specialized care, indirectly supporting the affordability and quality of the camp experience for all.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information on financial assistance options, session fees, and specific program availability, including the Veterans Family Camp, families should directly contact Easter Seals Wisconsin Camps or visit their official website. Their focus is on ensuring that cost is not a barrier to participation for those who can benefit from their unique programs.
