However, the pricing structure and inclusions are designed to provide excellent value for youth organizations.

  • Affordable Permit Fees: Youth group camping permits at Blackwell (and other DuPage County Forest Preserves) are generally very affordable. For instance, sites with a 25-person capacity are typically $25 per night for DuPage County residents and $30 per night for non-residents. • Included Firewood: A significant value-added feature, plenty of firewood is included with the camping permit, eliminating the expense and hassle of purchasing or transporting wood separately.

  • Discount for Youth Group Organizations: While not always explicitly listed as a "promotion," it's worth noting that the Forest Preserve District of Will County (another nearby district) offers a 50 percent discount to youth group organizations. It's advisable to inquire with the DuPage County Forest Preserve District if similar discounts are applicable to Blackwell, though their posted fees are already quite low for youth groups.

  • Advance Booking: The permit system allows organizations to book sites well in advance (up to a year), which is a valuable "offer" for groups needing to plan their itineraries far ahead.

To confirm current permit fees, availability, specific requirements (like insurance certificates for recognized non-profit youth groups), and any potential nuances in pricing for your specific organization, it is essential to contact the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County directly.
