This has been a quiet and comfortable place to retire. The park is kept looking nice and the staff was responsive whenever there was an issue. The schools are very close by and I was able to walk to my grandkids ball games.
We've lived here 11 years and 3 years or so ago new ownership took over and of course, 1st thing lot rent increase and after 12 months another increase.. Soooooo within 12 months we had around 30% lot rent increase. And a couple weeks ago we get a notice that yep, another rate increase of 8% and we are retired and as of now in 2025 SS plans on giving retirees a 2.3% cost of living increase. The ownership said due to the market. Soooooo I did a little research of my own and finding. What is the average lot rent in Indiana? Average lot rent for mobile homes continues On the other hand, some states have lower-than-average costs for mobile home lots. For example, in Indiana and Iowa, residents can expect to pay around $200-$300 per month.Jun 6, 2023 And we pay for a single mobile home lot $458 and next month in Sept with the 8% increase $494, and most mobile home parks provides amenities like swimming pools, community centers, and laundry facilities and Country Side Estates has none of these.
I just want to say what a wonderful job Kris Miller is doing with the mowing of the park lots. He mowed the hill behind Lot 22 and that hill has not looked that good in 2 years ! Also I want to thank Dawn Martz for working so hard to get these residents to clean up their yards keeping our park a wonderful place to live !!
I don't live here, but I know a couple people that do. I have met the park manager, Dawn. She is very kind and knowledgeable and seems to really care about her residents. The community is kept nice and orderly. They brought in a couple new homes that are VERY nice. If you're looking for a new home, start here.
