Holiday Village About

Welcome to Holiday Village: Your Potential New Home in Elkhart, Indiana

For many residents across Indiana, the concept of a manufactured home community represents an attractive and often more affordable pathway to homeownership or stable long-term living. These communities offer a unique blend of independent living within a structured neighborhood environment, often fostering a sense of camaraderie among residents. Holiday Village, located in Elkhart, Indiana, is one such community that aims to provide a welcoming and accessible option for those seeking manufactured home living. While the experience within any community can vary, understanding the typical offerings and common resident feedback can help prospective residents in Indiana determine if Holiday Village aligns with their housing needs and expectations.

Manufactured home communities often provide a distinct lifestyle that balances privacy with community engagement. Residents typically own their manufactured home while leasing the land it occupies, a model that can significantly reduce upfront housing costs compared to purchasing a traditional stick-built home. This affordability, coupled with the potential for a friendly and supportive community atmosphere, makes manufactured home parks like Holiday Village a popular choice for individuals, families, and retirees looking for a cost-effective and comfortable place to call home in the Hoosier State.

Services Offered

Manufactured home communities in Indiana, including Holiday Village, typically offer a range of services designed to enhance the living experience for their residents. These services often aim to simplify daily life and maintain the community's overall appeal. • Lot Leasing: Providing the land on which residents place their manufactured homes.
  • Common Area Maintenance: Upkeep of shared spaces such as roads, landscaping, and community facilities (if any).
  • Utility Management: Often, certain utilities like water, sewer, and trash removal are included in the monthly lot rent, simplifying billing for residents. However, this varies by community, and residents are typically responsible for their own electricity and gas.

It is crucial for prospective residents to clarify exactly which services are included in the lot rent and which are the responsibility of the homeowner, to ensure a complete understanding of monthly living expenses. I wish I could supply a zero. Ive been a tenant for 4 yrs, last month my husband and I noticed our sink in the kitchen has been leaking. We made a maintenance ticket and have yet to have someone take a look. Yesterday, 12/18 we realized we are without hot water. Bills are paid up to date so we called the maintenance line NINE TIMES, have left voicemails and not received a word. We even tried going into the office today to have the issuesl remied and the office was closed the entire day due to a "office party". I could be wrong, but I would assume no hot water in my house is considered a violation of the "warranty of habitability," meaning the landlord is legally obligated to provide a habitable living space, and therefore must promptly repair the issue. I would greatly appreciate this being looked into and taken seriously before a complaint with local housing authorities is filed. Since no one answers their calls, returns voicemails or emails. I thought a google review would bend the ear and get my items looked at asap.

*since they removed my 1st review* Malary richetti is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, rude , arrogant and does not know how to handle herself for being a so called "assistant mgr" and after talking to a few other residents she is known for racial discrimination . We had rented out the "community room" . Due to negligence on their end of the pool montior and/or Malary, police were called and the event had to end within 45 mins of it starting. The door to the pool was UNLOCKED from the room. Malary pulled up erratically instantly yelling at my brother. Didnt ask for the lease holder (my dad) or nothing. My dad came out told her stop yelling at his son and talk to him she continued to yell at my brother so i told her she doesnt need to raise her voice and she walked out the pool area to call the cops and the other cars. Earlier in the day the pool monitor told my brother she will grant him permission to swim for that day and to get the pool paper in for anytime after that. Which supposedly wasn't relayed to Malary.Supposedly the pool was closed due to "rain" it was light sprinkling the ground wasn't even wet. and the closed sign was on the gate of the pool which is nowhere near the door from the community room to enter pool. Due to miscommunication between the 2 workers Malary took it upon herself to lie to police told them brother was breaking and entering. The cops said that is not the case for this nothing was broken or locked for him to break into, and threatened everyone in the party with trespassing. She called THREE additional cars PRIOR to police showing up with 2-3 people in each that flew around the corner so fast when they parked their car jerked cause it wasnt fully stopped one fat guy got out patting his pocket. ( in the streets that means there is a gun in his pocket). Malary insisted she was on the phone with the actual property manager who was telling her all of this info to tell us about ending the party having to clear everything everybody being marked with trespassing so on and so forth. The police did not issue trespassing because they said that was ridiculous and professionally they agreed that this whole incident was outrageous and uncalled for. Like we voice to her she had to pull up in a nice calm manner ask him to get out and it would've been at that, but instead, she wanted to pull up instantly started yelling and cause a whole scene and call back up for no reason when we weren't even being hostile with her. She swore up and down the pool rules are in the lease. I reread all papers that were received at lease signing. There's not one thing in any of the papers about the pool rules. Because of this hundreds of dollars were wasted we didn't even get to do presents games or cake. Everybody was just finishing eating. I've called corporate numerous times. Left a voicemail with the CEO have yet to receive a call back. If I don't have a resolution. I'm going to the news outlet because this is racial discrimination and from my communication with others this is not the first time that she's done this second or third. Beware of her at all cost. And we plan on filing a civil suit against her for the money that was wasted due to the party plus the deposit that we had to put down for the room that we didn't even get to use for a full time. THANK YOU MALARY FOR RUINING A BABYSHOWER BECAUSE OF YOUR UNPROFESSIONALISM AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED ACTING LIKE THAT IN FRONT OF YOUR KIDS AND THE OTHER KIDS AT THE PARTY ‼️ also. My dad signed his lease papers May 17 here it is June 10 and none of his repairs for his move-in have been completed yet but she's worried about ruining a baby shower. How very professional is that? My dad stove the screen part the glass is completely broke so you can easily scratch your finger on it. The dishwasher no water comes through to it like it's clogged or something. The plumbing in my dad showers disgusting. He took a shower and crap started coming up out of the drain so he has to use the second bathroom shower because that plumbing is messed up in the main bathroom

Was trying to apply here and I was first dealing with Chris Watters and he was VERY unprofessional and rude about what he needed to process our application and instead of helping and giving advice he had some lady named mallary email me and she was also no help, and all their responses were “sorry that’s just not right” like okay I understand that so I help me and tell me what you need, and even then all they said was “actual paystubs and actual W2s”! I’m just glad I had the encounter now instead of moving in and it be miserable for years to come…
