Customer Reviews
Stayed there for two nights and it was absolute HELL. I have never been the type to go around complaining and bashing businesses, but I feel a responsibility to warn people. They had some type of music venue, a full blown concert at supersonic volume. The second night was just a playlist blasting at the same level. My husband and I put in a lot of miles to get to Monticello. Just when we had got our rig set lip on the first day, and went to lie down for a bit, music exploded everywhere. There was absolutely no escaping it even with noise canceling ear buds. Our floor and walls were vibrating. This went on well into the night. Several hundred people drunk, screaming, and music at a large concert venue level. The second morning while on a walk to the lake, we ran into a homeowner who lives just down the street from this park. My husband and I asked them how they managed to tolerate the wild partying and insanely loud music. They informed us that they were taking legal steps against the park and that it is an awful experience for everyone else living on the same street. I genuinely felt so bad for these people that they are constantly invaded upon by the selfish and careless owners and residents of the park. We were already planning on leaving but hastened our departure on the second night after a man exposed himself to me as I was walking back to our rig from the showers. He was touching himself and laughing. It’s clearly not a safe place for women or children. I am a native New Yorker and it takes a lot to shock and disturb me. This is something that might be expected in the Big A, but not a nice small town where folks are just looking to get away and enjoy the water and small town vibes. Save your money and stay safely far away from this trash heap. I hope the city shuts them down.
The "real" owner said in a recent meeting that he's flipping the place. He said the sewers were need of major repairs. Already raised the price appx $500. It's old out dated and the drunks are terrible.
This place is a hidden oasis. The wife and I were a little skeptical coming here. All the farm fields leading up to this place made us think we were going to the absolute middle of no where, but when we got here it was awesome. The people are so friendly. There are things for all ages to do. You can party with the locals, play at the park or bounce pad, chill out in the creek. Very close to many fishing areas, water park, and a small town. They are adding a pool. We will definitely be coming back here again to visit.
The owners are wonderful people they always have activities planned for weekend and the new pool is awsome. Great place for family fun. Definitely a wonderful campground. This is yr 2023 now 2024 new owners
I have been to many campgrounds and as soon as I stepped foot in this one I knew it would be a great place. Staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. Other campers are also friendly. Bath house is always clean and stocked. Very relaxing to sit by the fire and hear the small waterfall in the creek. A few miles from Indiana Beach. So much to do around here if you just go do it. I love this place!!!!
