This place was the worst camping experience of my life and my husband and I have done camping all across the country. I called two weeks ahead of time to find out if we would be able to set up early if the spot was available and I was told no problem. If there’s nobody in the spot, you can set up whenever you get here. We drove eight hours to come to this campground to go to the beach, arriving around 11 AM. I went to the front desk to ask if we would be able to check in early, and older woman behind the counter immediately said checkouts not till one so I asked her is our spot still occupied I was just wondering if we could check in a little early she looked at the computer and said they haven’t checked out yet. I said OK I’ll check back in later. My husband and I walked around the campground and came across the spot that we were assigned according to our email and there was no one there. I went back in the office and spoke with the same lady and told her that our spot was empty and she yelled at me. I told you check out was at one. Why are you coming back in here? So she lied right to my face and didn’t like it when she got called out. I then said again the spot is empty, she said she would have to talk to her manager. My husband and I sat on the couch in the waiting area and we could hear her talking about us. Then she calls over to us and says that we can go back to Our campsite as she proceeds to slam down the two sheets of information that we needed on the counter. This was the most unprofessional experience I’ve had at a campground. I then asked about my daughter staying, and if it would cost extra money, then she yelled at me again only two to a tent and she said this to me at least three times meanwhile, there were other campers there, with way more than two people at a spot. My daughter did join us. I did speak to the manager about this a couple days later and she apologized to me. I don’t know if the situation was really ever addressed. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and the woman that was in there cleaning wasn’t really cleaning at all. I honestly would encourage you to find another campground and not waste your money at this one. It was the worst experience I’ve had camping. There is another campground right across the street that I hear is wonderful, please go there!,,,, I see below that the owners comment on the reviews, if you’re reading this, I would love for you to contact me directly with an apology.
Aug 17, 2025 · Nicole MarreroI’ve been coming here for over 25 years. First I came with my children and now my grandchildren. I have to say my recent stay showed MAJOR improvements! The camper was exceptionally clean, staff responsive and the water in the cabin was clean and fresh, no odors. It is close to everything including the highlight of our trip, the cape May zoo. It’s minutes from the boardwalk in wildwood. We had such an exceptional time we are considering rebooking in the fall. I’ve had some ups and downs over the 25+ years but they have definitely made adjustments and gave us the quality vacationers thrive for-cleanliness, responsive and accountability.
Aug 23, 2025 · Kim HarrisMe and my family tent camper. The campsite was a little small and one of the outlets did not work. Also, the water Spicket was leaking campsite could definitely use maintenance. The playground was nice if you have a two year-old or under very small tree branches down all over the place and Pineneedles scattered as well Looks like zero maintenance for the playground. The bath houses were not the best tiles were falling off, and the shower plumbing was leaking terribly We also had family staying with a 32 foot RV and the site was so small. They couldn’t even use their awning. Or honestly set up a picnic table This place needs some tender love and care
Sep 22, 2025 · max baglivoThe location to the beach is good and it’s close to shops if you need to run out and grab something. I understand every campsite has rules but the staff that works there is overbearing. Quiet time is 11 pm. At 11:02 we had an older gentleman who smelled like straight liquor at our site telling us we needed to quiet down which we did. We weren’t there to cause problems. About 15 minutes later he’s back at our campsite saying we’re being loud again and we weren’t all just talking. Then he stopped friends of ours walking to our campsite and asked then where they were going and why they were out . These are grown adults not children. We finally moved at the cabin where another person of our party was staying and we’re not bother the rest of the night. As for cleanliness it’s hit or miss. We did see the cleaning lady just one person spend 10 minutes cleaning out a cabin and had a rag and a bottle of cleaner no mop or anything so it couldn’t have been that clean. Dishes in the cabin were dirty with crusted food. The water did smell like eggs but it’s well water so I’m not surprised. I didn’t partake in the pool because a friend of mine had said it was dirty and I wasn’t willing to partake in that. The people who own the seasonal spots were very nice and like to hang out with weekenders. I think what made our trip miserable was the drama that people brought in. At one point the cops were there bc a 16 year old threatened to stab someone over a dog and the mom punched him in the face in front of camp management. Honestly I would rather spend my money at the place down the street that has a mini golf course and more to do.
Aug 08, 2025 · Lauren ChestnutI have to say the adventure bound in cape may is garbage. The ladies at the front desk are the only thing good about this place. And they were Great. The girl that does the ceramics was great aswell. Dirty bathrooms. No security. Store closes at 8 thank god there's a Walmart 9 mintues away.. the " main guy" there is rude and doesnt care about people's issues. I had a family of 30 people who rented 5 cabins blasting their music at 1030 pm and screaming into their microphone.. it was so loud and annoying that my 2 kids couldn't sit outside and watch the movie that we planned on watching. Theres nothing to do there besides the pool and a worn down playground.. theres one activity a day there. This place should be shut down...called the guy to after hours to come so he comes and his attitude sucked he seemed he didn't care because they rented 5 cabins so they got their money. 4 other families called to complain about the noise and nothing was done. Atleast go over and say can you turn it down.. extremely disappointed and will be never back to crap shoot. People should save their money and definitely find somwhere else. The arcade? You mean 4 claw games that didnt work lol what a joke.. I definitely see why this crap shoot got a 2.5 on tripadvisor..
