We had a wonderful vacation this year. This is our second time camping here. Very laid back, friendly, with lots to do for the kiddos. The splash park and pool are wonderful, they have panning for gems, arts and crafts, a train, fishing pond, and we were there for foam frenzy. We had a blast and can't wait to go back next year! The only reason I gave it 4 stars was that our camper that we rented was in a little need of some love. Other than it was a perfect vacation!!!
Aug 30, 2025 · Michael ShaferTent camping by the pond, first of all I thought it would be quiet and peaceful but it wasn't, it was golf carts galore, all day, all night, even at 2am. Driving fast back there, clouds of road dust. Was told the golf carts had an 11pm curfew. Pool is very nice, but for the amount of people in this campground it's not big enough. There needs to be another pool. Signage: I think the campground could use some signs, first time here, need signs like exit, office, bathrooms, pool, etc. Spray Park and giant slide was awesome. Campground rules is 4 adults to a site, there were 5 of us. One had to drop out. But when I called they said 4 adults two children. Wouldn't two children equal one adult? Outdoor movie at Rally Field, very nice, enjoyed it, except for the golf carts in the back, constantly starting up their golf carts and or turning on their lights. The creek.... Let's be honest, it's a swamp. Gross, dead, still water, with orange algae bloom. Maybe this wasn't the correct campground for our family, we like to enjoy nature, the peacefulness, woodsy sites, I'll stay away from campgrounds that rent golf carts, the campers next to us had huge speakers blasting music and doing karaoke till late at night.
Aug 11, 2025 · Jeanie EesI’m just returning from a weekend at the campground. My reservation and payment actually runs through tomorrow, but we opted to leave early due to the issues we experienced this weekend. This was our fourth year camping with you folks and I can assure you it’s our last! This year I found you to be completely understaffed,( although the staff that was there were mostly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.) Due to that fact, the bathrooms were not cleaned, or stocked nearly often enough. I actually found them dirty, disgusting and simply mostly unusable! While sitting at our campsites (169,&170) Saturday evening, there happened to be a large group across from us that were having some big problem and staff were on hand to deal with it. However, one of the staff members came to our site telling us to turn our music down…it was only 8:30 pm and we were talking to each other over the music so I knew it was absolutely not too loud! Meanwhile, that same group of people across from us was up singing karaoke, drunk and very loud the night before until 3:00 am. It was very disturbing that “quiet times” are not enforced in any way, shape or form. Both Friday and Saturday night, there were sever different groups of teenagers riding carts all throughout the campground, literally all night long, shouting, laughing, playing loud music, and not a thing was done! The fact that there is no type of policing done from the time the staff leave until they return to open again in the morning. I did see a “security” person at the front gate, but apparently they simply sit there at night doing nothing but sit in a cart at the entrance. Lastly, I was very disappointed that it being the wet and wild weekend, your store prices were extremely jacked up for simple plastic water pump tubes, (an outrageous cost of $28. each!) taking total advantage of your patrons! We always expect to spend money for the extra little offerings you have there, the gem mining, food and refreshments at the pool tiki hut, etc, but those water toys were over the top!! I will be sending a copy of this email to Adventure Bound headquarters, as well as leaving this as a review with Google, Yelp, and Good Sam. I would greatly appreciate some correspondence, possibly even some compensation I feel is warranted.
Aug 17, 2025 · Clndy PfefferHad a bit of a mixed experience. The check in was smooth, and the staff at the shop are wonderful. I decided to rent a golf cart for the weekend. That process was smooth and an older gentleman gave me a brief introduction to operating the golf cart which was great. My kids and I had a blast driving the golf-cart around or so I thought. When I returned to my cabin, I had a worker confront me and told me he had gotten 3 complaints about how I was driving and he even witnessed me driving erratically. I told him I apologized and it would not happen again. I felt awful that I was making others feel unsafe. My main gripe was that, If he was getting complaints about me, why not approach me and give me a heads up right away. I feel like I was left to hang myself. I got the impression that it was some of the regulars that complained to a worker who had the same mentality that I was just some wreck-less inconsiderate guest and it just gave them some ammo to lump me as a bad guest. I am not above rules and safety, I just think if I was causing an issue of safety that was so concerning, a simple conversation right away would have corrected that behavior. I was going to apologize the next day to the same gentleman, but he was sitting at the golfcart station and did not even look up from his phone. This put left me with a bad taste. I am going to reiterate that I was wrong, I was driving too fast. The speed limit is 5 mph, and I was going faster. My issue is with how it was handled. I will not go back, and I am not rebooking for next summer. This was my second visit and will be my last at the Elmer location.
Aug 04, 2025 · D ClementsWe have stayed here multiple times in the past with no issues. This time we stayed everything was fine until we brought my grandparents as guests. They accidentally parked in employee parking. The security guard on shift at 8/31/25 at 1:50 pm yelled at my elderly grandparents and was waiving his walkie talkie in my grandfathers face. They also had a lot of people under the influence driving golf carts all around. This will be the last time we stay here. I’d rather waste more money and go somewhere further away. There was also very loud music playing at 12 pm. They also do not have good security so there were people yelling in the rally field and arguing at 1 AM. To say I am so disappointed coming here is an understatement. I’m not sure if this is new management or what but hopefully they fix it.
