In the heart of Moore County, just outside the charming town of Carthage, you'll find Airport RV Park. This park offers a practical solution for both short-term stays and those looking for a longer-term base in our beautiful state.
Airport RV Park stands out for a couple of unique reasons, making it a noteworthy option for those traversing our North Carolina roads. It’s important to understand that an RV park is different from a hotel; it's designed to provide a comfortable and functional space for your recreational vehicle, complete with necessary hookups and amenities. What truly sets this park apart, according to those who have stayed there, is the exceptional dedication and helpfulness of its owner, Mr. Roland.
Mr. Roland’s reputation for kindness and responsiveness is a significant highlight. Guests consistently describe him as "the most helpful and kindest man," often going out of his way to assist residents in any way he can. This level of personal attention and care can make a world of difference during your travels or extended stays, ensuring that any needs or concerns are addressed promptly. His quick response to text messages and calls is a testament to his commitment to guest satisfaction, making your stay as smooth and worry-free as possible.
Another distinctive feature, as its name suggests, is the park's proximity to an active airstrip. For aviation enthusiasts or simply those who appreciate a unique spectacle, the chance to "see planes land and take off at the Air strip right across the driveway" offers a fascinating added dimension to your stay. While some might prefer absolute silence, many find this a novel and engaging aspect of Airport RV Park, adding a memorable element to their North Carolina adventure.

This could be a nice quiet RV park except for the neighbors that ride their golf cart and dirt bikes up and down the roads and airfield. I hope they know this is an active runway and could possibly be dangerous. There are other tenants here that work night shift and try to sleep during the day. Seems there are no rules. Not a relaxing peaceful stay
May 10, 2025 · Heather JacksonIts not a hotel. Its a RV park. The owner Mr.Roland is the most helpful and kindest man. He reminds me so much of my dad. He will help anyone in any way if he's able. He always responds quickly to txt messages and if he don't answer when you call he calls back asap. Very good man. If you're luck you can see planes land and take off at the Air strip right across the driveway. Saw one land this morning
May 16, 2025 · Christina NunneryA quiet place to get a good night's sleep. Recommend to reserve online, as there is no office here, which feels a bit odd. You can see planes during the day. We were going to walk to the BBQ place, but it closes at 4pm. Plenty of grass for dogs. Would return.
Mar 22, 2024 · Sarah SThe owner, his daughter Marty, and Bryan were kind, professional and easy to communicate with. I didn't stay there, but I set up and GLAMPED OUT for my guest and they made it easy, also I had suggested the RV Park to my guest during the US Open and he was very pleased. Thank you
Jun 26, 2024 · Lisa Michelle AlfordIf you need a place to park your RV with full hookups, and aren’t looking for anything else, this is the place. The spots are all pull through and large enough for any size RV or Travel Trailer. There are no playgrounds, no fire pits (I don’t think campfires are permitted (at least in the A lots). There is the Pik N Pig restaurant on the property. There is no public bathhouse or toilet, so you will have to use your camper or RV bathroom and shower. Online checking was super easy. I had to cancel one night and they responded quickly via email and refunded me. It was only $50 a night. Again, if you just need a place to park with full hookups for as cheap as possible, it’s hard to find full hookups for less than $50.00. I wouldn’t recommend planning your vacation getaway here but the ownership was pretty straightforward and we knew what to expect. You might get to see some helicopters or airplanes while you are staying.
