Extremely pleased with Camp Durant. I’m a new Adult leader with Scouts and just completed Winter Blast 2025 with our Troop. It was an amazing adventure and even with the cold it’s been a great place for the scouts to get some good training and development. The vastness of different badge opportunities available at Camp Durant are very great. Camp sites are well maintained too.
Camp Durant is the best scout camp in the state. The facilities are excellent. Clean bathrooms, great learning space, and far and away the best dining hall around. The staff is energetic and truly care about the camp and the campers. Only problem is the heat and bugs in the summer.
The camp is top notch, they have a bit of everything, this is the perfect place to enjoy the great outdoors. I hope it was open to the public all year round.
Lots of everything for kids to do. Great friendly people who really care. I aways find it had to leave.
Great camp! The 2023 summer beach part cuboreee was awesome! Excellent staff can't say enough about this place the trading post is top class as well as the senior staff that runs it. Aquatics all the way around is an excellent old school setup and feel, very well trained lifeguards and medics, one lifeguard of many that were at attention even made a point to explain they weren't going to make direct eye contact while giving verbal assistance. The food vendor even if new was superior to most camp food I have encountered. Some facilities and activities equipment have age as well as the camp tents but all are in good working order and plentiful and add the the camp feel. Activities were plentiful directed by top notch senior staff and knowledgeable camp staff. Grounds have started to show summer maintenance. Definitely a great start to get scouts growing again after a couple off years. Huge shout out the the staff at the Forge! Thanks so much and Scout On. One thing to mention in addition is the Ice Company there definitely needs to expand to the local market, possibly further in the future some of the best ice I've ever had make sure you order some at the trading post!
