For Texans traveling from different parts of the state, accessibility is a key factor. The park is located off a narrow road, but it's easily reachable from major arteries like I-35 and Loop 1604. We are so thankful for this place and wonderful people we encountered. We had a reservation that cancelled as we were driving in from the Dallas area thru a thunderstorm. We arrived after hours and they went above and beyond to accommodate us with little to no notice. Also helped us get the correct power cord we needed. These are the kind of people you need in your life. Thanks to everyone that helped us!

My husband and I just spent the weekend here with our 2 dogs. The manager was really awesome and gave us the perfect accommodation since we wanted to be secluded. Our dogs had a great time, and we saw quite a bit of wildlife! We definitely plan on coming back again

Camp sites are almost on top of each other with almost no buffers of trees & our site had no picnic table or fire ring, had to “borrow” AKA: drag the one from next door over to our site. The traffic police who easily went way over the posted 5 mph in his golf cart & was a bit of a jerk constantly telling us to slow down even at our 7 mph. The front gates were mostly chained shut for some reason & had to use the key pad back entrance we thought it was kinda a strange thing..

A stayed at the park for about 8 months. The park is clean and some of the spots are spacious. The bathrooms, laundry are clean, but dated. The lower loop is fairly far from the bathrooms and laundry facilities located toward the front of the park. The wifi leaves a great deal to be desired. It constantly required me to contanct Tengo internet to troubleshoot the connection. When it was working it was okay speeds. The management can be slow to respond, but they do respond eventually. I rented my spot on a monthly basis. I paid for the entire month of December, but ended up loosing my position in San Antonio in the first week of the month. I notified the management I would be leaving early and requested a refund of the remaining rent from the 14th. It only took 8 phone calls, most of which went to voicemail and were not returned, and three weeks after I left the park to receive the update that the park does not do refunds as a policy. Rotten tomatoes for me, but just letting the public know service is not the top priority in the park. Otherwise if you want a no frills place close to San Antonio it's not a bad option. Just don't have a change of plans...
