The nightly rate for a campsite is $20. While specific promotional offers directly from Andrus Lake State Forest Campground are not typical given its rustic, non-reservable nature, Michigan residents can often take advantage of general state park system discounts and passes.
For example, purchasing a Michigan Recreation Passport provides access to all Michigan state parks and recreation areas, including state forest campgrounds, for a full year. This is a highly cost-effective option for frequent campers and outdoor enthusiasts. Information on the Recreation Passport and its benefits can be found on the Michigan DNR website. Additionally, some camping resources or apps might offer general discounts for various campgrounds, but it's important to verify their applicability to state forest campgrounds which typically have fixed, minimal fees.
Given its rustic nature and first-come, first-served policy, the best "promotion" is often the opportunity to secure a quiet, picturesque campsite at an affordable rate, especially during off-peak seasons or mid-week when fewer people are present. Always remember to check the Michigan DNR website for the most up-to-date fee information and any policy changes.

Cute, quaint little state forest campground. Not another soul to be seen so we picked the ideal spot to set camp for the weekend. We were there early November so the lack of people wasn't at all surprising.
Camped here twice in October. Beautiful sunsets over the lake. No electricity? No problem.
Nice, quiet, right on the lake. But be prepared when you get out of your truck, the flying vampires are waiting for you!!
Such a beautiful atmosphere. Great people. Really missed Bob and Mary this year (camp host) Love camping on this lake. Beautiful views stars at night, close to whitefish point. AWESOME CAMP
Andrus Lake State Forest Campground is a place for REAL camping, not that parking lot stuff you'll find closer to the falls. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the location is great: 5 minutes North of Paradise, 5 minutes South of Whitefish Point, 25 minutes East from the Falls. Lots of ORV tracks around. And it's right on a beautiful lake for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. Cute little beach and picnic area also. I just wish this park didn't allow generators!!
