Bluff Creek Park is conveniently situated at 144 Bluff Creek Road, Pittsview, AL 36871, USA. This location places the campground along the beautiful Walter F. George Lake, a significant stretch of the Chattahoochee River, which forms part of the border between Alabama and Georgia. Pittsview, Alabama, while a smaller community, provides a tranquil backdrop for the campground. For more extensive amenities, the park is approximately 48 minutes south of Columbus, Georgia, and within reasonable driving distance of larger Alabama towns like Eufaula (known for its historic district) and Phenix City. Once inside the park, the well-maintained roads contribute to a smooth experience, even for larger rigs. While the nearest major town might require a bit of a drive, the natural beauty and recreational opportunities offered by the lake and surrounding areas more than compensate, making it an ideal spot for an outdoor getaway in Alabama.

This campground is awesome, large sites, clean restrooms, shady sites, right on the water. What could possibly be wrong? The big drawback is the wood processing plant next door. It runs 24/7, it's loud grinding noise and smelly air make it hard to relax. Did I mention it runs 24/7 even on Sunday?

Upon arrival we were impressed. People seemed friendly and she said we could ride through first to pick a tent campsite. We didn’t like number 50 after reserving over the phone, there was no privacy whatsoever with everyone packed like sardines in their rvs and one person had a BLOW UP BOUNCY HOUSE for their children. After we picked a nice campsite away from everyone else, she THEN decided to disclose that the entire section on the east side of the park was closed. That would have been something to say up front. We settled for site 72. Bathrooms were nice and clean. When the reviews tell you that the paper mill stinks and is loud, it literally does smell TERRIBLE, like what I would think the Chernobyl chemical explosion site smelled like. And then the noise ALLL NIGHT LONG. It sounds like banging metal and reverse vehicle beeping constantly. We couldn’t leave quick enough the next morning, and even began feeling nauseous from the burning plastic smell. And my god…the dumpster area and camp areas all around smelled like an actual death camp. We tossed our trash as fast as we could, gagging our way to freedom outside of that campground. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend.

Don’t go here. The Paper Mill goes NON STOP 24 Hours a day including Saturdays and Sundays. I can’t put my hearing aids in because of the noise. The Plant also puts of a STENCH that is disgusting

The only reason not 5 stars is I couldn't get to the water easily. We were in #78. Beautiful. Some choice ones with a better water view and on the main part of the river were 60, 61 and 62.
