Introduction / Overview
Loggers Landing Campground, situated in the heart of Maine’s outdoor adventure capital—Bingham, is designed by and for outdoor enthusiasts. This is more than just a place to pitch a tent; it’s a passion project built by a family who "love to swim, boat, fish, whitewater raft and ride their ATVs." Their mission is to design a unique Maine campground that provides the perfect balance between quiet relaxation and high-energy adventure, seamlessly blended with the surrounding natural beauty.
Located directly on the Kennebec River, Loggers Landing offers stunning views and immediate access to some of the region's best recreation. It is rapidly becoming the go-to basecamp for Mainers looking to explore the Upper Kennebec Valley. Customers rave about the exceptional hospitality, often highlighting the owner, Gordon, who goes the extra mile—including shuttling gear to remote campsites via ATV. The environment fosters a welcoming atmosphere, even accommodating groups that enjoy a bit of "rowdy and rambunctious" fun without the usual worries about noise complaints, thanks to the thoughtful layout. This blend of a rustic, beautiful setting with modern convenience and a dedication to adventure makes Loggers Landing a standout choice for local campers.
Whether you're planning a thrilling whitewater rafting trip, an extensive ATV expedition, or simply seeking a tranquil spot by the water, Loggers Landing offers a robust and authentic Maine experience.
Location and Accessibility
Loggers Landing Campground boasts a prime, easily accessible location in Bingham, Maine, a town widely known as the “Gateway to the North” and a hub for central Maine adventures.
Address:
376 Bingham Rd, Bingham, ME 04920, USA
The campground is strategically positioned right on Route 201 (Bingham Road), a major artery in the Kennebec Valley, ensuring ease of arrival. Its key appeal lies in its extremely close proximity to the most popular local attractions. Specifically, it is located only about four minutes away from North Country Rivers, one of Maine’s leading whitewater rafting outfitters. This makes it an ideal spot to stay before and after an exhilarating day on the Kennebec River.
Furthermore, accessibility for motorized recreation is excellent. The property's location provides direct access to the State of Maine Trail System, which is heavily used year-round by ATVs, mountain bikers, hikers, and snowmobilers. For campers with gear, the friendly, hands-on service helps bridge the gap between parking and the more remote sites; the owner is known to use an ATV or four-wheeler to shuttle camping equipment to those beautiful, secluded riverfront spots, making even the deepest sites surprisingly easy to manage.

We stayed at the riverfront campground at Loggers Landing for 2 nights for our White Water Rafting trip with North Country Rivers and had the BEST time! The owner met us when we arrived and provided an ATV to help us get our camping gear down to the campsite easier. We had a group of 4 and we easily fit 3 tents on the platform on the campsite (4 person tent, two 2 person tents). The campsite had a fire pit (with firewood), 2 picnic tables and a wooden table to put chairs around. Would definitely stay here here again next summer. Thank you for the amazing hospitality!
Aug 06, 2023 · Carrie Van Den HendenThis is a great rustic location and 4 minutes away from North Country Rivers where we went white water rafting. The site was only 20 feet from the river, had a sleeping platform (ditch the air mattress and grab the sleeping pad), picnic table, fire pit, fire wood, rake and shovel. Our site was a decent walk but Gordon was able to help us out by shuttling our stuff by ATV and four wheeler. So just give him a heads up on your ETA! The site was wicked beautiful and great for our group. We tend to get a little rowdy and rambunctious with healthy competition. But there’s no need to worry about noise complaints here. Overall, we had a blast and will certainly be returning next year!!
Jul 24, 2022 · Kristen PerrasWe spent the weekend at the Loggers Landing Campground and had an amazing time!! Thank you Gordon and Debbie!! Our camp site included a picnic table, fire pit, very large tent platform big enough for us to setup our 8 person tent. It is a fantastic spot because we were about 20-30 feet to the waters edge from our tent and caught about 30 fish throughout the weekend. The camp site is also off the atv trail which worked out perfectly because we were able to leave from our camp site hit up the major atv trails (to Greenville, Forks, Newport, etc.). It's also only about a 15 minute atv/side by side drive to two different stores on the trails for any supplies you might have forgotten. We really enjoyed camping at Loggers Landing, it is rustic but we like it that way, and plan on returning. -Brent and Carol

Gordon was exceptional and suggested we use the 22f tipi! They really set us up for the night. Accommodations were beautiful and the campsite was fantastic to drop into. Thanks guys! 🏕
