While some past reviews on other platforms suggest a "no frills park" with limited shade and potentially close sites, more recent feedback points to positive experiences regarding its cleanliness and accessibility. Fireside Resort RV Park aims to provide a reliable and convenient stop for RV enthusiasts in the Auburn area, offering the necessary services for a pleasant stay.
Location and Accessibility
Fireside Resort RV Park boasts an excellent location at 5612 Co Rd 11A, Auburn, IN 46706, USA. Its most significant accessibility highlight is its immediate proximity to I-69, specifically "just off I-69 Exit 326" (formerly Exit 126). This makes it an incredibly "easy location" for RV travelers, allowing for quick on-and-off access from the interstate without complicated detours, a crucial factor for those on long journeys or with large vehicles ("easy access for big rigs").
Auburn itself, situated in DeKalb County, is a vibrant community known for its rich automotive heritage. The RV park is conveniently located "near museums and across from the Auburn Auction Park," providing immediate access to significant local attractions like the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum, the National Military History Center, and events at the Auction Park. This proximity makes it an ideal base for visitors interested in these cultural and historical sites.
Beyond Auburn's immediate offerings, the park's location provides excellent connectivity to the wider Northeast Indiana region. Fort Wayne, a major city with a broader array of cultural attractions, dining, and shopping, is approximately a 30-minute drive away. For those seeking natural beauty and outdoor recreation, the famous Chain O' Lakes region and other state parks like Pokagon State Park (around a 23-minute drive) are easily accessible, offering opportunities for hiking, fishing, boating, and winter sports. The convenience of nearby restaurants and shops also ensures that campers can easily satisfy their cravings and stock up on supplies. While a car is essential for exploring the surrounding areas, Fireside Resort RV Park's direct access to a major interstate positions it perfectly for both quick overnight stays and longer explorations of Indiana's diverse attractions.

Customer Reviews
Called them the day of arrival about 4 hours before and they were able to get me an overnight spot. Great prices and a very easy location. Garbage on the way out which is nice. Note: we were there in the beginning of Feb so obviously it may be busier in the summer and the same day calling probably won’t work. Had a good mix of monthly campers, and overnighters.
This RV Park us conveniently located off Rt 69 and is well maintained. The owners are very accommodating! They are open year round with pull through spaces and full electric hookups. The bathhouse is 24/7, was very clean and heated!
Stay for 8 nights 9/8/24 to 9/16/24. Almost did not stay here due to some of the negative reviews. That would have been a mistake. I don't use the shower facilities due to shower in my trailer but checked them out due to negative review. Showers were very clean. Laundry facility was very clean, well above average. RV sites are much larger than average. I don't have children, but lots of areas for kids to run and enjoy whatever. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I spend 4 months a year in RV sites around the country for work. This rv resort is a little older, but sites are level, roomy and easy access to freeway. No wifi but who uses that these days and most rv sites wifi is so bad anyone who rv's a lot uses their own. Cell phone coverage was awesome and used 5g hot spot for internet. At $60 per night price was on the higher side compared to comparable sites.
Gave length of trailer, requesting a longer site was put bank on same site as the year before which was to short so we unable to hook up our sewer hose unless it was 25' long had to use different lot in morning so we could dump. As for amenities there is no cable or wifi. Plus the price is now $60 night. Will not be staying there again.
To the other reviewer, this place is old as dirt! It's come a long way from a place of complete ruin. Many projects worked on year to year. Yes, the contractor that brought the gravel in last year could have done a far better job. The pool has been a work in no progress for years. It's a nicely located place for us to come visit family, so we keep coming back. I kinda like where the dumpster is, don't hear them empty and don't smell it from the sites. I do wish we could get our picnic tables back!
