Briar Creek Mobile Homes & Apartments About
Are you a North Carolina local considering mobile home or apartment living in the Jacksonville area? When exploring housing options, it's natural to seek out communities that offer comfort, security, and a pleasant living environment. Briar Creek Mobile Homes & Apartments in Jacksonville, NC, represents a residential option that provides both mobile home lots and apartment rentals. Understanding the current state of a community, especially through the experiences of past residents, is crucial for making an informed decision about where to call home in Onslow County.
Mobile home parks and apartment complexes each offer distinct benefits for North Carolina residents. Mobile home parks typically provide land leases for manufactured homes, offering a more affordable pathway to homeownership for many. Apartment complexes, on the other hand, provide rental units with various amenities, ideal for those seeking flexibility or a maintenance-free lifestyle. Briar Creek Mobile Homes & Apartments combines both these options, suggesting a diverse community aiming to cater to different housing needs in Jacksonville.
Jacksonville, as a vibrant city largely shaped by the presence of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, has a dynamic housing market. Many residents, including military personnel and their families, seek out practical and affordable living solutions. Briar Creek Mobile Homes & Apartments has historically served this purpose, offering a residential choice within the city. However, recent public feedback indicates that the community may be facing challenges in maintaining its previous standards.
For North Carolina locals evaluating potential residences, transparency about a community's current condition is paramount. While some mobile home parks and apartments are celebrated for their upkeep and amenities, it appears that Briar Creek Mobile Homes & Apartments has experienced a decline in certain aspects, particularly concerning maintenance and recreational facilities. This information is vital for setting realistic expectations and determining if the community aligns with your personal living preferences and priorities for a safe and well-managed neighborhood.
Briar Creek Mobile Homes & Apartments is located at 107 Briarcreek Ln, Jacksonville, NC 28540, USA. This address places it within the city of Jacksonville, in Onslow County, North Carolina. For North Carolina locals, particularly those connected to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, its location offers a degree of convenience to local amenities and the base itself. Jacksonville is a bustling city with a significant military presence, and residential areas like Briar Creek are typically situated to provide reasonable access to essential services.
The reviews suggest that despite some internal issues, the location itself offers convenience. While specific details about access to stores and schools from this exact address are not in the reviews, a general location within Jacksonville, especially one with "Briarcreek" in its name, implies a suburban setting. Such locations typically allow for relatively easy drives to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping centers, and public schools within Jacksonville. The city's infrastructure supports residential communities with access to major roadways, facilitating commutes for work or leisure.
However, the convenience of the location must be considered alongside the reported internal conditions of the property. For example, while the external location might be good, "deep potholes in the entrance" could significantly impede accessibility for residents and potentially damage vehicles. This highlights that while geographically well-placed within Jacksonville, the on-site accessibility for residents might be compromised by maintenance issues. North Carolina locals considering this location would need to weigh the benefits of its geographical position against the reported challenges in terms of internal road conditions.
Based on the provided reviews, the services offered at Briar Creek Mobile Homes & Apartments appear to be limited and are primarily focused on providing basic residential spaces for rent, with a concerning lack of maintenance and amenities. While the park historically offered well-maintained living, current feedback suggests a shift. Therefore, the implied services are:
- Mobile Home Lot Rental: The primary service is providing spaces (lots) for residents to place their manufactured homes.
- Apartment Rentals: The name indicates that apartments are also available for rent on the property.
- Basic Grounds Keeping (Historical, now in question): Past reviews suggest that grounds were "very very well maintained." Current reviews indicate "little to no upgrades" and concerns about general upkeep. While grass might still be cut, the level of care seems to have declined.
- Utility Connections (Implied): As with any residential community, the lots/apartments would have the necessary hookups for water, sewer, and electricity, though the management of these services by the property is not detailed.
It's important to note the specific services that are explicitly stated as not being adequately provided or maintained based on recent reviews:
- Road Maintenance: "Deep potholes in the entrance. Deep enough to damage your vehicle." suggests a severe lack of road maintenance.
- Recreational Facilities: "nothing in terms of recreation for the kids unless you build your own playground and put up your own little pool but I'm not sure if that's even allowed" explicitly states a lack of recreational amenities.
- Responsive Management: The sentiment that "the owners now do not care at all and are only looking to cash those rent checks" indicates a lack of responsive management regarding resident needs and property upkeep.
Based on the recent customer reviews, the features and highlights of Briar Creek Mobile Homes & Apartments present a mixed picture, with more recent feedback indicating significant decline from previous standards:
- Combination of Housing Types: It offers both mobile home lots and apartments, providing diverse housing options in Jacksonville.
- Historical Reputation: It "used to be a very very well maintained and a SAFE little neighborhood," indicating a positive past reputation for community and upkeep.
- Quiet Atmosphere (Historically, now debated): While some may still find pockets of quiet, one review notes "residents that do not seem to care about their neighbors at all driving in and out at all hours with their sound systems blasting," suggesting noise issues are now a concern.
- Proximity to Jacksonville Amenities: Its location in Jacksonville provides access to local stores, restaurants, public schools, and a community college, offering external convenience.
- Affordable Living Potential (Implied): Mobile home parks often serve as a more affordable housing option compared to traditional homes, which could be a draw despite current concerns.
However, it's crucial to highlight the current negative "features" or areas of concern based on recent feedback:
- Lack of Maintenance: Described as having "gone downhill over the years" with "little to no upgrades done." This includes "deep potholes in the entrance" which are severe enough to "damage your vehicle."
- Perceived Lack of Owner/Management Care: The sentiment that "the current owner doesn't seem to care much" and is "only looking to cash those rent checks" is a significant concern regarding the responsiveness and commitment of property management.
- Absence of Recreational Facilities: Explicitly stated that there is "nothing in terms of recreation for the kids."
- Noise Issues: Complaints about "sound systems blasting and bumping hard enough to shake a solid foundation stick built house let alone a single wide trailer," indicating significant noise disturbances.
- Safety Concerns (Implied by decline in care): While it "used to be a very very safe little neighborhood," the overall decline in maintenance and management attention can indirectly raise concerns about the current sense of security, especially with uncontrolled noise and potential lack of enforcement.
Given the strongly negative nature of the provided recent reviews, it is highly improbable that Briar Creek Mobile Homes & Apartments would be offering any traditional "promotions or special offers" that would be attractive to new residents. The current feedback indicates significant issues with maintenance, management responsiveness, and overall living conditions, which would deter most prospective tenants or lot renters.
In a situation like this, where a property is described as having "gone downhill" and with owners who "do not care at all," any "offers" would likely be implicit and not beneficial:
- Potentially Lower Rent (Unconfirmed): While not stated, properties with significant maintenance issues and poor reputations sometimes offer lower rental rates to attract residents. However, this is purely speculative and not based on provided data.
- Availability: If the property is in decline, there might be more immediate availability for lots or units due to resident turnover, but this would not be a positive "promotion."
Any property in this described state would need to undergo substantial improvements to regain a positive reputation and attract residents with actual "promotions." For North Carolina locals, the current "offer" from this property, based on reviews, appears to be a challenging living situation. Therefore, it's essential for anyone considering this location to be aware of these reported conditions before inquiring about any terms.
For inquiries regarding mobile home lot availability or apartment rentals at Briar Creek Mobile Homes & Apartments, please use the following contact information. It is crucial for prospective residents to conduct thorough due diligence, including visiting the property in person and speaking directly with current residents, given the concerns raised in recent reviews.
Address: 107 Briarcreek Ln, Jacksonville, NC 28540, USA
While no phone number was explicitly provided for Briar Creek Mobile Homes & Apartments in the prompt, for any mobile home park or apartment complex, direct contact details would typically be available through online searches (e.g., Google Maps, apartment listing websites) or local directories for businesses in Jacksonville, NC. Prospective tenants are strongly advised to seek out and use these direct contact methods.
When contacting the management, it is highly recommended to specifically ask about the issues raised in public reviews, such as road maintenance, noise policies, and plans for property upgrades. A direct conversation will be essential to gather current information and to assess the management's responsiveness and willingness to address resident concerns. It is paramount that any interested North Carolina local verifies all aspects of the living conditions firsthand before committing to a rental agreement at this location.
Based on the collective feedback from recent residents, Briar Creek Mobile Homes & Apartments, in its current state, may not be suitable for North Carolina locals seeking a well-maintained, safe, and family-friendly mobile home park or apartment community. While its location in Jacksonville offers a degree of convenience to the city's amenities and Camp Lejeune, the internal conditions appear to significantly detract from the living experience.
The reported issues, including "deep potholes" damaging vehicles, "little to no upgrades," persistent "blasting" noise from neighbors, and a perceived lack of care from the current owner, paint a challenging picture. Residents are reportedly "forced to listen to that nonsense through such thin walls" and lament the absence of "recreation for the kids." This suggests an environment where basic living comfort and community well-being are not prioritized.
For North Carolina locals, especially those with families or those seeking a peaceful and secure environment, these reported conditions raise significant red flags. While mobile home living can be an affordable option, the trade-off should not be a compromise on safety, maintenance, or basic quality of life. Therefore, while Briar Creek Mobile Homes & Apartments is indeed a housing option in Jacksonville, it appears to be better suited for individuals who are prepared for a very basic, unmanaged living situation and who might be able to tolerate significant drawbacks, rather than those seeking a positive and well-cared-for community.
Customer Reviews
This place has gone downhill over the years. The current owner doesn't seem to care much. It used to be a very very well maintained and a SAFE little neighborhood but ever since the sheriff deputy and his family sold it and moved away it seems as if the owners now do not care at all and are only looking to cash those rent checks. There has been little to no upgrades done and there is nothing in terms of recreation for the kids unless you build your own playground and put up your own little pool but I'm not sure if that's even allowed. There are definitely those residents that do not seem to care about their neighbors at all driving in and out at all hours with their sound systems blasting and bumping hard enough to shake a solid foundation stick built house let alone a single wide trailer. I feel for those that live back there and are forced to listen to that nonsense through such thin walls when it occurs.
Deep pot holes in the entrance. Deep enough to damage your vehicle. Someone should definitely do something about it.
How I get up wil them see there anything open
