Cadillac Ranch About

For folks here in North Carolina exploring housing options, mobile home parks often present an accessible and affordable pathway to homeownership or long-term rental. In Lumberton, you'll find various communities, and one such place is Cadillac Ranch Mobile Home Park, located at 20 Devin Dr, Lumberton, NC 28358, USA. As with any significant decision about where to live, it's essential to gather all available information to ensure a good fit for your needs and preferences.

Cadillac Ranch, like many mobile home parks across our state, aims to provide a space for residents to establish their homes. It's a part of the broader housing landscape in Robeson County, offering a particular style of community living. Understanding the environment and conditions of any potential home is crucial, and for Cadillac Ranch, there are specific points that prospective residents, especially those local to North Carolina, should be aware of.

Public feedback indicates that Cadillac Ranch has faced challenges, particularly concerning drainage and flooding during heavy rainfall. Reviews explicitly mention "The entrance FLOODS every single time it rains!" and advise that "Unless you have a large truck or a tall SUV I would advise not living here or visiting!!" This feedback from past residents is important for anyone considering Cadillac Ranch, as it highlights a significant environmental factor that could impact daily living and accessibility.

It's important for locals to approach their housing search with a comprehensive understanding of all factors, including environmental conditions that might not be immediately apparent. While the goal of this article is to be informative and professional, it must also be factual, presenting all publicly available data to ensure readers can make informed decisions from their North Carolina perspective.

Location and Accessibility

Cadillac Ranch Mobile Home Park is located at 20 Devin Dr, Lumberton, NC 28358, USA. Lumberton, situated in Robeson County, is a city with a rich history and serves as a regional hub in southeastern North Carolina. The park's address places it within the broader Lumberton area, which offers various local amenities and services.

Devin Drive, where the park is situated, is typically a local road that provides access to the community. Proximity to major roads like I-95 and US-74, which run through Lumberton, would generally offer convenient access for commuting, shopping, and connecting to other parts of North Carolina. However, direct observations about accessibility provided by past residents point to a significant concern: "The entrance FLOODS every single time it rains! Unless you have a large truck or a tall SUV I would advise not living here or visiting!!"

This critical piece of information directly impacts accessibility. While the geographical location might place it near key transportation routes and local services in Lumberton, the practical accessibility can be severely hindered during periods of rain. For residents of North Carolina, particularly in regions prone to heavy rainfall, understanding potential flooding issues is paramount when considering a mobile home park. It suggests that standard vehicles might face difficulties entering or exiting the park during wet weather conditions, potentially isolating residents or complicating daily commutes.

Prospective residents should therefore consider this environmental factor carefully, especially if they do not own a high-clearance vehicle. While Lumberton offers a range of shopping centers, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions, the ability to consistently access these services from Cadillac Ranch appears to be a notable consideration depending on weather patterns. Direct communication with park management and, if possible, visiting the site during or immediately after a significant rainfall would be advisable to assess the current state of its accessibility challenges.

Services Offered

Based on the provided customer reviews and the nature of a mobile home park, specific details about comprehensive services at Cadillac Ranch are not extensively outlined. Typically, mobile home parks offer foundational services essential for mobile home living. However, it's important to note that the reviews primarily highlight significant concerns rather than a list of amenities.

Generally, a mobile home park like Cadillac Ranch would offer:

  • Lot Rentals: The primary service is the rental of individual plots of land where residents can place their manufactured homes. This allows residents to own their home structure while leasing the land.
  • Utility Connections: While not explicitly stated, mobile home lots typically come equipped with necessary hookups for utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity. Residents would then establish accounts with utility providers.

It is crucial to understand that the available public information for Cadillac Ranch is limited, and the existing reviews focus on significant challenges rather than positive service provisions. There is no mention of community amenities like clubhouses, laundry facilities, playgrounds, or dedicated maintenance services in the provided data.

Given the reported issues, particularly regarding flooding and implied maintenance concerns ("Hate it out here this is what happens when it rain"), prospective residents should exercise due diligence. This would involve directly contacting park management to inquire about:

  • Regular maintenance schedules for roads and common areas.
  • Specific measures in place to mitigate the reported flooding issues at the entrance and within the park.
  • Any on-site management or emergency contact protocols.
  • Waste management services.

Without further positive information from public data, any other services would be speculative. The focus for potential residents should be on verifying the park's ability to provide a safe and consistently accessible living environment.

Features / Highlights

When considering Cadillac Ranch Mobile Home Park in Lumberton, North Carolina, it's important to look at both the intended features of a mobile home park and the actual highlights, or significant points, raised by resident feedback.

From the perspective of features that mobile home parks generally aim to provide, Cadillac Ranch would typically offer:

  • Affordable Housing Option: Mobile home parks are often a more budget-friendly housing solution compared to traditional stick-built homes, allowing individuals and families to own their homes while renting the land.
  • Community Living: Mobile home parks are designed to foster a sense of community among residents, often with shared spaces (though specific shared amenities are not highlighted in the provided data).
  • Individual Home Sites: Each resident would have their own designated lot for their mobile home.

However, the actual "highlights" from existing customer reviews draw attention to significant challenges and areas of concern:

  • Repeated Flooding at Entrance: This is the most prominent "highlight," negatively impacting the park's accessibility. Reviews explicitly state, "The entrance FLOODS every single time it rains!" and advise against visiting or living there "Unless you have a large truck or a tall SUV." This is a critical feature to consider, as it directly affects daily life and safety during periods of rain.
  • Impact on Resident Quality of Life: Comments like "Hate it out here this is what happens when it rain" suggest that the flooding issue significantly detracts from the overall living experience, leading to dissatisfaction among residents.
  • Lack of Rules or Enforcement (Implied): The negative sentiment and the frustration expressed by residents ("don’t go to Timeout Community parks" - though this might be a misattribution or reference to a broader management group, the sentiment remains) could imply a perceived lack of effective management in addressing recurring issues like flooding or general park maintenance that affects residents.
  • Necessity for Specific Vehicles: The advice to only visit or live there if one has a "large truck or a tall SUV" highlights a very specific and restrictive feature related to accessibility during wet conditions.

Therefore, while the park aims to offer typical mobile home park features, the primary "highlights" based on available public feedback are concerns related to recurring flooding and its impact on residents' ability to access and enjoy their homes. Prospective residents should prioritize investigating these reported conditions.

Promotions or Special Offers

Information regarding specific promotions or special offers at Cadillac Ranch Mobile Home Park is not publicly available through the provided customer reviews. Mobile home parks, like many rental properties, typically manage any current incentives or discounts directly with prospective residents.

It is important to note that the existing reviews for Cadillac Ranch focus on significant challenges faced by residents, particularly regarding flooding. In situations where a property has reported issues, promotions might be used to attract or retain residents, or there might be a focus on addressing existing concerns rather than offering new incentives.

Typical promotions that might be found in other mobile home parks (though not confirmed for Cadillac Ranch) include:

  • Reduced Security Deposits: Lowering the upfront cost for new residents.
  • First Month's Rent Discount: Offering a percentage off or a fixed discount on the initial month's lot rent.
  • Extended Lease Incentives: Providing a slightly lower monthly rate for residents who sign a longer-term lease agreement (e.g., 12 months vs. month-to-month).
  • Referral Bonuses: A common practice where existing residents receive a benefit for referring new residents.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

For residents of North Carolina, particularly those in the Lumberton area, the decision of where to live is a significant one, and mobile home parks often present an affordable housing solution. When considering Cadillac Ranch Mobile Home Park at 20 Devin Dr, Lumberton, NC 28358, it’s crucial for locals to approach this opportunity with a clear understanding of all available information, including both the general benefits of mobile home living and specific challenges noted by previous residents.

While mobile home parks are generally designed to offer an accessible entry point into homeownership or long-term rental, the specific feedback for Cadillac Ranch highlights a critical consideration for any local resident: the park’s susceptibility to flooding at its entrance during rain. Direct resident reviews like "The entrance FLOODS every single time it rains!" and the cautionary advice to avoid living there "Unless you have a large truck or a tall SUV" are vital for North Carolinians, especially given our state's diverse weather patterns and susceptibility to heavy rainfall. This directly impacts daily accessibility and can pose significant inconvenience and potential risks.

Therefore, suitability for locals depends heavily on individual circumstances and priorities. For someone who owns a high-clearance vehicle and whose daily routine is not significantly impacted by potential periods of limited access, or for those who prioritize extreme affordability and are willing to manage such challenges, Cadillac Ranch might still be a consideration. However, for the average North Carolinian seeking reliable, consistent access to their home and surrounding amenities regardless of weather, the reported flooding issues at Cadillac Ranch represent a substantial drawback that should be thoroughly investigated.

As a local resident, it is always recommended to conduct thorough due diligence, including visiting the property, ideally during or shortly after heavy rain, to personally assess the conditions. Contacting the park management at (910) 225-4295 or +1 910-225-4295 to discuss their plans for addressing these known issues is also paramount. Ultimately, suitability for Cadillac Ranch will vary greatly among North Carolina locals based on their tolerance for and ability to navigate the reported environmental challenges.
