Camp Grayling RV Park is uniquely situated within the Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center, located in Grayling, MI 49738, USA. This distinct setting immediately differentiates it from other RV parks in Michigan. Grayling itself is a well-known Northern Michigan town, famous for its proximity to the Au Sable River, vast state forests, and numerous recreational opportunities. The RV park is directly on the military base, which means visitors will experience a different kind of access compared to standard public campgrounds.
While the exact entry points and security protocols for accessing the base might vary, visitors should be aware that being on a military installation often entails specific identification requirements and security checks. It's always advisable to confirm these details before arrival, especially for those who may not be accustomed to entering military facilities. Despite its location on a base, reviews suggest the park itself is generally peaceful and accessible once inside. The convenience of being in Grayling means that while the immediate vicinity of the RV park on base might not have shops or attractions within walking distance, a short drive will take you into the town of Grayling, which offers groceries, restaurants, and other necessities. This location strikes a balance: providing a secluded, secure camping environment while still being within easy reach of essential services and regional attractions, making it a practical choice for Michigan RVers exploring the northern parts of the state.

As a facility located on a military base, Camp Grayling RV Park typically operates under a different pricing structure and promotional model than privately owned commercial RV parks. While specific "promotions" or "special offers" in the traditional sense (like seasonal discounts or package deals) are not commonly advertised, the park's inherent affordability is its most consistent and attractive "offer." Reviews consistently highlight the "very affordable" or "decent price" as a major benefit, making it a strong value proposition for campers.
It is common for military-affiliated recreation facilities to offer preferential rates or access to active duty military personnel, veterans, and Department of Defense (DoD) civilians. While not explicitly stated in the provided information, prospective campers who fall into these categories should inquire directly with the park about any such benefits or eligibility requirements, as they might provide further cost savings. For the general public, the consistently low daily rate for sites already serves as a significant draw, often making it more competitive than many private campgrounds in the region.
Any seasonal pricing adjustments or occasional group rates would likely be communicated directly by calling the park. Given its nature, the primary "special offer" is the ongoing provision of a clean, peaceful, and amenity-rich (with the private beach) camping experience at a price point that makes it highly accessible for a wide range of Michigan RVers looking for value.

Customer Reviews
Clean bathrooms/shower and generally peaceful. Private beach for campers is the best part. Very affordable. Small. Just be aware that since it's on a military base there isn't much to do or see within walking distance and there isn't a store conveniently located. You will have to drive off base into the small town for anything. Still, overall good place to camp.
Not to bad a bit rustic and could use a good cleaning but has potential. Sites are shady and sandy. The price for here was decent.
Decent park. Clean shower room. Laundry is shared with troops, but I had no problem using them. Laundry is not in park. Down by club. Fairly level sites. Alot of homesteading. But folks are friendly and respectful. I would come back.
More of a seasonal rental park for authorized users. On a lake with beach. Sites are sand/dirt. Bath houses are old yet clean with plenty of hot water. Park manager is very accomodating.
This is not the most favorable for tenting as it's a well shaded oak grove with not a blade of grass in sight. The bath house is close and spotless. Mid week is like a ghost town with the seasonal campers all buttoned up. There are no amenities on site but not a big deal as town is only about three or four miles away. Friendly camp hosts for sure. Yup I would stay again just not in a little pup tent.
