Stayed here a few times now in both tent and travel trailer. It’s close enough to Rome to be convenient since our son goes to Berry College. Very quiet place with a paintball field next door that’s open on weekends (our kids play and I do sometimes). The staff are friendly and always accommodating. The kayak rental and shuttle is definitely worthwhile. Cave Springs is a nice little 5 minute drive for some free spring water and stroll through some cool antique shops. We liked this park so much we decided to leave our trailer in storage with them so we can use it and stay there regularly. Pricing is great for full hookups and the sites are all really good. Plus, they’re expanding right now. Lake Allatoona is close, so we’ll be doing some boating while staying there as well! Laundry facility is nice but I will say that the bath house could use some love.
Apr 26, 2024 · Jon LeslieNice Campground with a nice, clear stream flowing behind the campsites. The people who run the place are fantastic. It was late in the day and we were tired and having trouble finding a place to stop. We called Cedar Creek and were trying to make arrangements with the lady on the phone to stay there when the cell phone dropped service. I knew that it was near closing time, and when we tried to call back we got a recording. I was just about ready to have a meltdown trying to decide if we should just drive down there or continue West, when she called me back. She stayed late and decided to try me again to see if we had gotten into a better cell phone zone. Literally at the corner of should I turn here or not. Thank you so much for your help. Also, because we camped there, we discovered Cave Springs which was a really cool little town. They have a wonderful spring there, unfortunately I was not able to explore the cave as it was still closed for the season. Probably missed it by just a few days. 🤔 In any case, I would definitely recommend this campground. It looked like they had plenty of things to do around there.
Apr 19, 2024 · Degauss BetTent camping within an hour from home and during a week night made for a nice mostly peaceful retreat for me and my wife. We stayed in tent site 1 because it is next to a men/women's plumbed bathroom (but with curtains not actual privacy doors?) And also because it is the only tent camping site with a water spigot (bring your own hose) and an outdoor electrical outlet (bring a 50' cord or longer). The staff is very accommodating from reservations to checkout. The park store is well stocked mainly for the kayak/boating/fishing customers. Otherwise a dollar general is 2 miles away in cave springs. Into town you'll also find an old style grocery store, diners and restaurants choices as well as Rolater (sp?) Park. Anyways other campers we encountered seemed friendly enough yet respectful of each others privacy. No facts to base it on but we felt this is mainly an RV park and that many of the RV'ers staying at the park seemed to be long-term RV residents or maybe traveling or transitioning workers with families. Not that it mattered to us or is our concern. We never felt threatened or unsafe. 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the lack of physical roaming security and no gate at the park entrance. The poor conditions of the bathroom and in the community showers. Spiders, flies, mosquitoes, no lockable privacy doors in the actual shower rooms or toilets and the men's bathroom near our site had no lights. But also because our experience was less than 5 stars mainly due to the visitors in the RV site closest to T1 where the husband and wife left 3 dogs kenneled inside their 5th wheel for 10-12 hours during their workday...and AGAIN not our business and we cast no judgements but the almost non-stop barking of three dogs from about 6 am - 6 or 7 pm was not peaceful. We we're only staying for two nights and certainly not the only ones who hear or see this going on so we did not want to cause trouble and did not report it. BUT I sense if we had the owners would have addressed it immediately. There are a lot of dog owners here and the majority seem respectful of others.. Worth noting is that we saw so many dogs and yet never seen any animal feces because the park provides many stocked doggydoo stations and then campers seem to follow the park guidelines. Night time (after closest site dog owners came home) the slow moving creek, many fish, turtles, deer and squirrels.. churping cicada and crickets brought us back to the surrounding nature and in the end we're thankful for our experience.
Aug 05, 2023 · R.E. MellickWe stayed here for a month and really enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the store at the office has lots of essentials. The lots are fairly spacious, we had a creekside lot which was pretty. The city of Cave Springs is very cute with shopping opportunities and good restaurants. So good, we ate at the Mexican restaurant twice. The city of Rome is about 20 minutes away and has much more including lots of history. We will definitely be back!
Dec 01, 2022 · Daylene and Brad HendricksLoving this place. Been here since December, warmed up enough finally and got me a nice bass in the creek.
