Customer Reviews
Stayed at site 2 which was right next to the creek with an awesome little sandy beach and seemed to be one of the more private spots. No one was in 1 or 3 while we were there which made it more private. The hill down to the site makes it a bit challenging to carry camping supplies so that’s something to consider if you have physical limitations. The kids and dogs had a great time playing in the creek while camping. The lodge always has a nice supply of firewood. We didn’t get to eat at the lodge but instead got some coffee, bagels, pizza and ice cream right up the road at Humble Pie. It’s very close and everything was delicious! It is a great place to camp especially for novice campers like us who wanted access to some things including a bath house. The bath house was being cleaned while we were there and it is definitely taken care of regularly though if you expect a Ritz Carlton bath experience you will be disappointed. It’s a campground and the bath house is a nice amenity to have access to! Owner Matt was very kind and responsive to questions! I definitely recommend Chattooga Lodge and Campground!
We had a great time! We enjoyed a lot of hiking in the area. I will be back with my kids. I believe they will love you playing in the creek. The camp host was amazing and had the best recommendations. This is site 12.
Had an absolute blast on our second trip to Chattooga River Lodge and Campground. We camped at site 12 and our friends camped in site 13. Our toddler loved playing in the creek behind the campsite. We plan on continuing to visit in the spring and fall for trips. Willies Tavern was also a lot of fun.
We had a great time. We tent camped on yhe creek and it was amazing. I love waking up to the sounds of water and birds. The bathhouse was nice and warm in the morning.
No rating on rooms because we were in RV site 6. Very private, wooded and quiet. Super friendly people, convenient to hiking trails and we loved the recommended offsite coffee shop Gauge.
