We really enjoyed our week stay here! My favorite part was the little pavilion on the canal that each site gets! Beautiful views of the sunset on Portage Canal. We loved the riverfront walk to downtown Houghton. Dog friendly. Right on the park for the kids. Kayak rentals and ice cream near by. The hosts were super nice! All sites are full hookup including wifi and cable.Very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend!

The location is both a cool thing, and if you don’t know your way in, it’s a bad thing. The signs for the RV park are small and low so we missed them the first time around. When you see the kayak rental place, turn in there and stay left, the RV park is through the kayak rental place parking lot. Stay off Canal Street with your rig, it’s crazy steep. Once in, you have a wonderful river front view and a great walking path. It’s about 1/2 mile walk to Shelden Avenue in Houghton. We walked down this street and did the shops and bars, was about 2 miles round trip. Fun afternoon. Absolutely lovely sites, mostly paved, little covered pavilions on every site. Full hookup. Wonderful sunsets are visible from the Chutes and Ladders playground. Park WiFi did not work for us, no laundry, no shower house. There is a restroom in the kayak rental place. The park is loud-ish, as it’s right next to 26. Would stay here again.

Very nice older couple that manages the place. They even called to check in on us to make sure they were going to be around when we made it to town. Very affordable. Water electric and dump site all at your campsite. Very well kept and surprisingly quiet in spite of being next to the main road. There is a waterfront Park and boardwalk which goes all the way through town right from the campsite.

Great views, swimming and playground for all ages! Really enjoyed the Rotary Pavilion and music in the park. Campground owner and host extremely helpful and kind. Can access walking and biking trails easily- only downside was lack of running space for the dogs but we made it work. Definitely will be back!
