Crystal Lake Mobile Home Village About
For folks right here in South Carolina seeking an alternative to traditional housing, exploring options like a mobile home park can open up new possibilities for affordable and community-focused living. In the heart of Myrtle Beach, Crystal Lake Mobile Home Village presents itself as one such option, aiming to provide a stable and managed environment for its residents. A mobile home park, often referred to as a manufactured home community, offers a unique residential experience where residents typically own their manufactured home but lease the land it sits on. This model can often translate to a more accessible entry point into homeownership, especially in desirable coastal areas like Myrtle Beach, making it an attractive prospect for many South Carolinians.
Crystal Lake Mobile Home Village is designed to foster a sense of neighborhood, where residents can enjoy a more laid-back lifestyle while still being connected to the conveniences of a larger city. The concept behind such a village is to create a structured yet comfortable living space, often with community rules and management that aim to maintain property standards and ensure a pleasant environment for all. For those considering a move to Myrtle Beach or looking for a more cost-effective living solution within the area, understanding what a mobile home park like Crystal Lake offers is a crucial first step in finding the right fit for your lifestyle and budget.
Crystal Lake Mobile Home Village is conveniently situated at 2710 Moonlight Dr, Myrtle Beach, SC 29575, USA. This location places residents in a well-established area of Myrtle Beach, offering a balance between residential tranquility and access to the city's myriad attractions and essential services. Myrtle Beach is a vibrant coastal city, and its layout generally provides good accessibility to various points of interest from most neighborhoods.
From Crystal Lake Mobile Home Village, residents can expect relatively easy access to major roadways in and around Myrtle Beach. This includes connections to arteries that lead to the famous Grand Strand beaches, entertainment venues, shopping centers, and dining establishments. For daily necessities, grocery stores, pharmacies, and other retail services are typically within a short driving distance, ensuring convenience for residents. Medical facilities, including hospitals and urgent care centers, are also readily accessible, providing peace of mind. Public transportation options in Myrtle Beach do exist, but like many areas in South Carolina, personal vehicle ownership is often the most practical way to navigate the region efficiently for most residents. The community's location on Moonlight Drive suggests a more internal, residential street, which can contribute to a quieter environment within the village itself, even though it's part of a bustling city. The accessibility here means you're close enough to enjoy everything Myrtle Beach has to offer, while still potentially benefiting from a residential setting that feels distinct from the immediate tourist hubs.
Crystal Lake Mobile Home Village, as a residential community, focuses on providing essential services that support the daily living needs of its residents. While specific detailed lists of services are not always publicly advertised for every mobile home park, based on common practices within such communities, residents can generally expect the following:
Site Rental: The primary service offered is the rental of individual plots or sites for manufactured homes. Residents typically own their mobile home and lease the land from the park management.
Property Management: An on-site or readily available property management team is a key service, handling day-to-day operations, addressing resident concerns, and enforcing community rules and regulations. Based on reviews, there is a property manager who actively oversees upkeep.
Utilities Connection Points: Individual sites are generally equipped with necessary hookups for utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity. While residents are typically responsible for their utility bills, the park provides the infrastructure to connect to these services.
Community Maintenance: Common areas within the park, including roads, lighting, and shared green spaces (if applicable), are usually maintained by the park management. Review feedback indicates that property upkeep is a focus for Crystal Lake.
Trash Removal Services: Standard trash collection services are often facilitated by the park, either through individual pick-up or communal bins, ensuring proper waste disposal for residents.
It is important for prospective residents to confirm which specific utilities and services are included in the lot rent and which are the responsibility of the individual homeowner.
Mobile home parks, like Crystal Lake Mobile Home Village, often have specific features and highlights that define the living experience they offer. While detailed, publicly available lists for Crystal Lake are limited, we can infer common features based on the nature of such communities and available resident feedback:
Community Management Focus on Upkeep: A notable feature, as mentioned in resident reviews, is the emphasis on property upkeep. The property manager reportedly ensures that residents maintain their homes and yards, which contributes to a more appealing and well-maintained overall appearance for the community. This focus on standards can be a significant highlight for residents who value a tidy living environment.
Quiet Residential Setting: Located on Moonlight Dr, the village likely offers a more residential and potentially quieter atmosphere compared to the bustling tourist areas of Myrtle Beach. This can be a key highlight for those seeking a more peaceful home environment.
Affordable Living Opportunity: One of the inherent highlights of mobile home communities is the potential for more affordable homeownership or rental options compared to traditional stick-built homes in the same desirable areas. This can be particularly appealing in a popular coastal city like Myrtle Beach.
Sense of Community: Mobile home villages often foster a close-knit community atmosphere. While not explicitly detailed for Crystal Lake, the nature of these parks often encourages neighborly interactions and a sense of belonging among residents.
Individual Home Spaces: Unlike apartment living, residents typically have their own individual plot of land, providing more privacy and often space for small yards, which is a significant highlight for many seeking more personal outdoor space.
It is worth noting that some resident feedback alludes to concerns regarding liability and property issues, specifically related to trees. While this is a point of concern for some residents, the presence of an active management team that addresses property upkeep is also highlighted, suggesting a mixed experience that is common in community living. Prospective residents are always encouraged to visit the property and speak with current residents to get a comprehensive understanding of the community's features and daily life.
Mobile home parks typically do not advertise "promotions or special offers" in the same way retail businesses or even apartment complexes might. Their business model is based on long-term lot leases for manufactured homes. However, potential residents seeking to join Crystal Lake Mobile Home Village, or any mobile home park in South Carolina, might inquire about certain financial aspects that could be considered beneficial.
It is advisable to directly contact the management of Crystal Lake Mobile Home Village to discuss any current availability or specific terms that might be relevant to your situation. While not "promotions" in the traditional sense, some aspects that could be discussed include:
Lease Terms: Inquire about the length of lease agreements offered. Sometimes, signing a longer-term lease (e.g., 12 months or more) might come with more stable rent rates or other slight advantages compared to shorter-term options, though this is not always the case.
First Month's Rent or Deposit Structures: While standard, understanding the upfront costs like security deposits and first month's lot rent can help in financial planning.
Availability of Homes for Sale or Rent: Sometimes, the park management or individual owners within the park may have manufactured homes available for sale or rent directly. These might come with specific pricing or financing options that could be beneficial.
Referral Incentives: Occasionally, existing residents might be offered referral incentives if they successfully refer new residents. This is less common but worth asking about if you know someone already living there.
For the most accurate and current information on any financial considerations or specific terms that might apply, direct communication with Crystal Lake Mobile Home Village management is the best approach.

Crystal Lake Mobile Home Village offers a living solution that can be particularly suitable for locals in South Carolina, especially those considering a move to or within the Myrtle Beach area. One of the most significant advantages for South Carolinians is the potential for more affordable housing in a desirable coastal location. Owning a manufactured home and leasing the land can often be a more budget-friendly alternative to purchasing a traditional stick-built home in Myrtle Beach, which has seen rising property values. This makes it an accessible entry point into homeownership or a viable long-term rental option for individuals and families looking for cost-effective living without sacrificing proximity to coastal amenities.
The community's focus on property upkeep, as noted by residents, is another key aspect that makes it suitable for locals. Many South Carolinians value well-maintained neighborhoods, and a management team that enforces standards for yards and homes contributes to a pleasant and aesthetically appealing living environment. This can foster a sense of pride in the community and ensure a higher quality of life for its residents. The presence of an active property manager, even if some residents express concerns about specific issues, indicates a level of oversight that many desire in a managed community.
Furthermore, the location in Myrtle Beach provides residents with the best of both worlds: a quieter, residential setting within the village itself, combined with convenient access to all the attractions, services, and natural beauty that the Grand Strand offers. This balance allows residents to enjoy the tranquility of their homes while having easy access to beaches, fishing, dining, shopping, and entertainment, all of which are staples of the South Carolina coastal lifestyle. For those seeking a permanent residence, a seasonal home, or even a transition into a more simplified living arrangement, Crystal Lake Mobile Home Village presents itself as a practical and potentially rewarding choice for South Carolinians looking for community, affordability, and convenience by the coast.
Customer Reviews
Been here 5 years and the property manager is super nice and I appreciate her making people do upkeep on their home and yard. As long as people keep up their property and mind their own business I'm great.
My neighbor in Crystal Lake. Had a tree fall in this house. Property upkeep is done by Crystal Lake. Crystal Lake is not paying to have his house fixed. He's been living in his house with a 6 / 6 foot hole in his roof. They are liable for the trees falling on his roof. Arbitrous have said for several years, that tree. Needed to come down. It was rotten on the inside. They knew this. That makes them. Liable Negligence on their behalf. They didn't take that tree down until after it fell on his roof. To pacify the neighbor Crystal lakes is the worst place to ever go and live they do not care about there, residence. And treat them in such a way that should be illegal.
We bought our place 8-2022 we are remodeling it. We have love being in Chrystal Lakes. It is a place I feel safe in!
Crystal lake is absolutely beautiful, but half the mobile homes around it are trash. Some of the people I met were very friendly. But the fact that I saw security cameras on every one of the mobile homes just about tells me they have a lot of problems there. Which is too bad because like I said the lake is absolutely gorgeous
Very cute and quiet. Felt like I was deep back in the country. Awesome feeling though coming from living in Myrtle Beach right now. Erik's definitely like to move here if I have the chance. Love the feeling and vibe the place gives off...
