Customer Reviews
Very nice campground. There are amenities and it's well taken care of and right on the river. And crowded with little privacy, if any. Our firewood that we bought was wet and wouldn't burn. Our neighbors told us it sat out in the rain for two days before we got there although we ordered it same day as arrival. So that was lazy and left from the last guest, and sold twice, I guess. No water available except in $2 per bottle singles. No propane, they are out. It's pricey for what we got. We probably won't go back. Maybe when things are in full swing, they are better prepared. Big bonus, they were all very nice and you do not get that everywhere! Dog park was also really nice and there are a lot of spots to walk, sit to take in views, and play disc golf, volleyball, etc.
We stayed here for four nights in our toy hauler. First, the location is great...feels like "camping". You do not expect it to be so hidden in the woods when you are driving in. Be sure to follow the instructions/directions from the staff about arrival. The trees, the creek, the waterfall and the trails make this campground a "must see". They have a friendly staff, a great store and laundry area, and a nice dog park. We went to their Friday night karaoke and it was fun! The owners really want you to have a fun experience at this campground. One day we drove into Danville, which was a quaint nice town to visit. On another day, we drove to Claiborne Farms (home of Secretariat) for a tour. There are several distilleries close by also. Mostly, we enjoyed hanging out at our campsite with the dogs. The weather was nice and the views are beautiful! Highly recommend!
It was a great experience, we were happy to be here! Convenient places with communications, clean and tidy. Excellent service, friendly atmosphere, entertainment program on weekends. The problem with communication here, by the river, but the wifi, although slow, did its job. Children's playground and even a pool (unfortunately it was closed), a store, laundry, boat rental. There is everything here to settle in comfortably for a few days! These guys took great care to make it as good as possible! By the way, beautiful nature, clean air, a great place to spend a family vacation. Thank you!
Such a great stay! The staff are all incredible but Kevin is over the top amazing! He showed up, delivered & saved us multiple times. His wife Pam is a gem & we’re thankful for the outstanding service but also new friendships. The campground is so clean & well maintained. The pool wasn’t open due to the recent flood (boo) but it’s only been a few weeks. The karaoke, food truck & live music were all great & a lot of fun!! The sites are beautiful, they have a nice hiking trail & the playground/kids area is fabulous. Terrific place!
Absolutely beautiful! Equally as wonderful as the views are the people who work there. Every person who I met has been great. Pam and Kevin went out of their way to make our evening entertaining, comfortable and fun! We really enjoyed listening to karaoke Friday. Pam checked on us frequently to make sure that we were having fun. She went out of her way to drive us back and forth in her golf cart every time we needed to go to our campsite all this while she wasn’t even on the clock. Very welcoming place, and I would highly recommend it! Beautiful place with wonderful people. We will definitely be back!!!
