I've never been so happy to leave a place! I didn't feel safe. If you are a big rig, don't even try! They need to advertise well headed off civilization! The gentleman wasn't very friendly. It might be on the Kentucky River, but you see very little. How they have such a high rating is beyond me. Couldn't wait for daylight so we could get the heck out of there!!

Sadly, after 3 voicemails and an email trying to reschedule or receive a partial refund for a stay we booked months in advance, No one has called us back. No where on their website does it state they have a no refund policy. We had to cancel for health reasons in my pregnancy and tried to do so weeks prior to our arrival. I recommend paying only the non refundable fee for booking or they will keep your money and refuse to contact you back if your plans change. Nice place if you dont mind the junk yard in theback loop, small shower house w 1 shower, rv lots are very close together, pretty views of the river and convenient boat ramp but because they blatantly ignored our attempts of contact we will choose a different campground for our annual trips to KY. Not friendly or family like feeling.

Quick stop for a nightly tent camp. Tent spots are grassy and flat. Very comfortable and reasonable $25 ($30 with taxes) for a tent site with an electric outlet (only four of these sites). The campground appears to be having some infrastructure improvements to the road and bathrooms. Bathhouse rest rooms are pretty small, not sure how they would handle a packed campground. The views of the Kentucky River are wonderful. Overall, I would def stay here again.

I brought my 3 daughters camping via tent. We arrived on a Friday afternoon. Site is $75. My kid got yelled at by the owner for taking a shower( she had an accident, it was a quick shower). Shortly after the incident the campground dog charged after me and my toddler. I had to drag my baby and run away from the dog so the chain can run out of slack. After that mini heart attack we decided to leave, I'm not dealing with all of that. Left Saturday afternoon staying there just shy of a full day. It was very uncomfortable getting side eyed to use their bathrooms. Very disappointed. For $75/2 nights, I expected the bare minimum. The only reason I can think of is the owners wanting to save water bill money but our prepaid campsite fee would cover an extra shower. My fault for wanting to stay local this weekend. Grounds are well maintained though, you can see in the picture where we pitched the tent. There is also a small playground too. I do believe there is a gentleman that lives there full time and was outside naked. Would not personally come back.
