Elkader City Campground operates on a straightforward pricing and availability model that is common for many city-run parks. Based on available public information, there are typically no complex "promotions or special offers" in the traditional sense, such as discounted bundles or seasonal sales. Instead, the value is inherent in its competitive daily rates and the comprehensive amenities provided for that price.

Campsites are generally available on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning reservations are not typically taken in advance. This offers spontaneity for campers but also means it's advisable to arrive earlier, especially during peak seasons or holidays, to secure a spot. Daily rates typically range from $10.00 to $25.00, which is highly affordable for the amenities offered, including electric and water hookups, and access to facilities like showers and restrooms.

While there aren't formal "promotions," the city may occasionally offer special event rates if the campground is used in conjunction with local festivals or gatherings. It's always a good idea to check the City of Elkader's official website or call the campground directly for the most current information on rates, availability, and any specific policies. The campground is generally open from April 1 to November 1 each year, catering to the primary camping season in Iowa.

Cemented pads. Clean firepits. Well maintained grassed yard area to play small yard games. Not alot of trees on campsite. Bring a natural ant repellant for the cement edges, if you dont want them on your dog or tracked in your camper. Nice people. Small pond to walk around or ride a bike. Clean waste area. $48 for the night, Full hook up. We used the 10ft.sewer hose. Due to Cv19, facilities are closed. Use your own camper to bathe, -Not a problem right. Pets on leashes- not a problem. Quiet relaxing. Do you canoe? You can here. The town has shops real close to csite. Pizza place was good. Yea, we'll be back. (as a warning, we'll stay longer and bring friends lol. )
