The Pocono Mountains region of Pennsylvania has long been the premier destination for locals across the state—from the Philadelphia suburbs to the Lehigh Valley and beyond—seeking a convenient escape into nature. When planning a trip, many Pennsylvanians look for a campground that balances a welcoming community atmosphere with all the modern necessities of a true getaway. Four Seasons Campground in Scotrun, PA, is a prominent fixture in the Poconos camping scene, offering daily, weekly, and seasonal sites that cater to a wide range of campers, primarily those in RVs and travel trailers.
Operating seasonally from approximately April through October, this campground is known for its strong sense of community, a hallmark often created by a large number of seasonal campers who treat the location as their regular vacation spot. While some of the charm of traditional, rugged, dispersed tent camping may be traded for the convenience and density of an RV park, Four Seasons Campground delivers on organized family fun, essential amenities, and proximity to major Poconos attractions. The general atmosphere is characterized by clean facilities, friendly staff, and a packed schedule of activities, ensuring there's rarely a dull moment for families and visitors. From enjoying the swimming pool to participating in the planned weekend themes, this Scotrun location serves as a well-managed hub for Poconos adventures.
Four Seasons Campground boasts an exceptionally strategic location in the Poconos, making it highly accessible for residents traveling from most corners of Pennsylvania. Situated at 249 Babbling Brook Rd, Scotrun, PA 18355, the park is positioned almost in the geographic center of the region's main tourist corridor.
Its key accessibility feature is its proximity to Interstate 80 (I-80), being noted as the closest campground to a major I-80 exit (specifically Exit 299). This makes arrival and departure remarkably easy for campers traveling from the west (like Harrisburg) or the east (like the Lehigh Valley and New Jersey border). Once off the highway, the drive is minimal, though some internal roads leading to the campground may be narrow, which is a common characteristic of the wooded Poconos landscape.
More importantly for local users, the campground is a fantastic base for exploring the best of the Poconos:
Camelback Mountain Resort is just a short four-mile drive away, offering year-round fun from skiing and tubing in the winter to the Camelbeach Waterpark in the summer.
Shopping enthusiasts appreciate the campground’s quick access to nearby outlet malls.
Dining options, including local favorites like Scotrun Diner and more tourist-friendly spots, are conveniently close.
Major family attractions like Great Wolf Lodge and Kalahari indoor water parks are within a short driving distance, as are natural wonders like Bushkill Falls and Pocono Raceway.
This prime location allows Pennsylvania campers to maximize their vacation time, minimizing travel and maximizing recreation.
Four Seasons Campground focuses on providing comprehensive utility and convenience services tailored primarily for RV and trailer camping. The aim is to ensure a comfortable stay with all the comforts of home readily available.
The core appeal of Four Seasons Campground lies in its array of recreational facilities and planned activities, designed to keep families and guests of all ages engaged throughout their stay.

It is always advisable for new visitors, particularly those with large RVs, to call ahead to discuss site suitability, directions (as the approach can be winding), and to confirm current rates, especially for extra guests or pets, which may have specific fees.
Four Seasons Campground offers a compelling solution for Pennsylvania residents seeking a family-focused, amenity-rich, and highly convenient Poconos vacation. It is most suitable for locals who prioritize being near the region's main attractions—like Camelback and the outlets—and who travel in RVs or trailers requiring full hookups. The park’s appeal is its ability to provide a clean, secure, and organized "home base" for a fun-filled week or weekend.
While it may not offer the isolated, rustic experience of a State Forest or State Park site, its strength lies in its strong social environment, the consistent lineup of activities, and the wealth of on-site amenities that reduce the hassle of traditional camping. For the Pennsylvania family whose idea of a great Poconos trip involves an air-conditioned RV, a quick dip in the pool, and easy access to all the region’s best entertainment, Four Seasons Campground stands as a reliable, activity-packed, and centrally-located vacation destination. It's an excellent choice for those who value convenience and community over complete seclusion in their Poconos getaway.

A gem of a campground. It appears to be a regular vacation spot for a lot of guests who park their equipment there full-time but the rules keep it classy. Weather was perfect in July and we didn't not have mosquitoes. Lots of outdoor activities nearby. The only minor complaint I have is that the sewer pipe at site 69 stuck out of the ground too far and leaned in a bit and the pipe didn't have threads to hold 90° connector. I struggled to dump my gray tank without spillage so I didn't even attempt to dump my black tank. Definitely would stay again if in the area.
Jul 14, 2025 · Eric PhillipsIf you are looking for a camping place where you feel like you are camping this is NOT the place for you . The spots are so tight , you feel like you are on top of each other . The staff is thirsty for money , be ready to pay not just for the spot but for each person in your group , they even charged me for my 3 year old ( maybe this is a new thing ) . I would have no problem paying for it if the spots were bigger . Please do yourself a favor and read all the NEGATIVE reviews before coming here . There is absolutely not privacy at all . This is a seasonal camping grounds people live in this place . My family and I felt so uncomfortable the whole time . We have been camping for a decade and this is by far the worst place I have ever stayed. The old karaoke guy was very kind , the campgrounds are very clean besides the women’s bathroom , the pool was very cute too . There were old people who live there that are very kind as well .
May 27, 2024 · Tanner ObrienSuper cozy and clean, but....... Found the campgrounds to be very nice. Very well shaded. Facilities are clean. However, I would not recommend this for families with children that like to do outdoor activities. They have very strict rules and it feels more like a retirement campgrounds. The pool closes at 5p on weekdays and 7p on weekends. Very strictly enforced. Also, it is locked all times and you must have two people to get the key (even if you are an adult). If you plan to do day activities away from camp, you will not be able to use the pool. Plus, the pool is not heated. With all the shade, it stays cold. If you are looking for a KOA type experience, it's not going to satisfy. The staff patrols the campground as well on 4 wheelers. Kind of makes you feel like you are under surveillance all the time. One day I had a staff member walking up the side of my camper where our windows are. Our blinds were up to allow light in. I noticed him when I exited the camper and I startled him. Might have been reading the meter or something but didn't feel like that. Other than a couple staff members, the rest were super nice and friendly. It's very quiet, not many people out. Most sites are filled, but still feels like a ghost town.
Jul 03, 2023 · Bill WoodsWe stayed here the month of June. Our site #29 backed up to a wall of rocks which was great. The staff was amazing and were like busy worker bees tending to all the chores keeping the grounds neat and facilities clean. Laundry room was functional and clean. Lots of seasonal campers that were polite and nice. Most of the sites were gravel and level. Pool was cleaned daily. Quiet and relaxing! Easy access to highway and shopping.
Sep 29, 2021 · Ranea SJust completed our first year as a seasonal. What a great campground. The owners ( Ed & Deb ) were very helpful in helping us to relocate from a campground 100 miles away. I needed someone to pull my camper here and then Marie came along. Marie is a full time employee at the campground and was able to pickup my trailer and relocate it here. What a gal. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our first year at this campground and are looking forward to many more.
