This ownership model fosters a strong sense of community and pride among residents. If you're a local in Florida looking for a retirement destination that offers both tranquility and a lively social calendar, Fox Run presents an appealing option. While a past review highlights a challenging experience regarding an emotional support animal, many residents consistently praise the community for its friendly atmosphere and wide array of activities, suggesting a generally positive and welcoming environment for its members. This article aims to provide a comprehensive overview of Fox Run Mobile Home Park, detailing its prime location, extensive amenities, and what makes it a suitable choice for Floridians seeking an active and engaging retirement.

The allure of mobile home living in Florida, particularly for the 55+ demographic, lies in its often more accessible price point compared to traditional real estate, combined with the benefits of community living. Fox Run capitalizes on this, offering a wealth of facilities and social opportunities that enhance daily life. The monthly HOA fee, which is quite reasonable, covers access to numerous amenities and the upkeep of common areas, providing excellent value for residents. Moreover, the community's resident-owned status means that homeowners have a direct voice in the governance and direction of the park through an elected Board of Directors. This democratic approach ensures that decisions are made with the residents' best interests at heart, fostering a truly communal spirit. With an active Social Committee organizing regular events, Fox Run encourages interaction and camaraderie, making it easy for new residents to integrate and form lasting friendships. Promotions or Special Offers

Fox Run Mobile Home Park, as a resident-owned and deed-restricted 55+ community, does not typically offer short-term "promotions" in the same way a rental property might. Instead, its "offers" come in the form of consistent value, an attractive ownership model, and the comprehensive lifestyle it provides for its target demographic.

The primary ongoing "promotion" is the inherent value of homeownership within a highly desirable, amenity-rich 55+ community on a major Florida lake chain. This includes:

  • Affordable Homeownership: Homes in Fox Run are generally priced more accessibly than traditional stick-built homes in waterfront communities in Central Florida. This allows retirees to enjoy a desirable lifestyle at a more manageable cost.
  • Low Monthly HOA Fees: The reported monthly HOA fee is around $60, which is remarkably low for the extensive amenities and common area maintenance it covers. This consistent low fee represents significant savings compared to many other active adult or condominium communities.
  • Included Amenities: Access to two pools (one heated), a comprehensive clubhouse, fitness center, shuffleboard courts, marina, boat ramp, and numerous organized social activities are all part of the HOA fee. This bundled value means residents get extensive recreational and social opportunities without additional membership costs.
  • Resident Ownership Benefits: The ability to own your own lot, combined with a voice in community governance through the HOA Board of Directors, provides a sense of security, stability, and direct investment in the community's future. This long-term benefit is a key draw for many retirees.
  • Waterfront Access and Boating Facilities: For water enthusiasts, the private boat ramp, marina spaces, and direct access to the Harris Chain of Lakes are invaluable assets that would typically come with a much higher price tag in other waterfront properties. The availability of RV and boat trailer storage on-site (for a small additional fee) further enhances the convenience for those with recreational vehicles.

While there won't be flash sales or discount codes, the long-term financial advantages and comprehensive lifestyle offered at Fox Run Mobile Home Park serve as its continuous and compelling "special offer." Prospective residents should contact local real estate agents specializing in manufactured homes in the Tavares area or check the Fox Run Mobile Home Park's official website (foxruntavares.com) for current homes for sale and detailed information on HOA fees and any specific requirements for joining the community.

My wife and tried to purchase a home here with our 9 yr old Golden Retriever Emotional Support Animal. We were meant with nothing but roadblocks, improper information and contradictory statements. The "board" at this community is a perfect example of a little bit of power going to little people's heads. Not a friendly place, we will spend our time and money in a "welcoming" community that appreciates the most important ingredient of community, "the people". Of note, the next community that we looked at, meant with us, our dog and immediately granted us a "reasonable accommodation" with our existing paperwork. What a difference and what a welcoming example. Fox Run is a little uptight for their own good.
