We moved here a few months ago. We love the lake with the Geese. Everyone has been very nice to us. Management, and the owner, are good people. Park is clean. Also a quiet, place. You see deer coming through. You may fish in the lake. There are big ones in there, waiting to be caught. There's a speeding rule, 15 miles a hour, which will keep everyone safe. We like to walk our dogs, and that keeps them safe. You should check it out. We are happy 😊. My absolute favorite is living out of the city. It is country living, for sure. And it being so quiet. I don't ever see trash. It's been windy for awhile, so If I see something that has blowed in. I will pick it up, in my yard, or the street. You have towns close enough to run to the store, or to get what ever you need. That's convenient, but your still in smaller towns, so it's not so overwhelming with heavy traffic. I'm staying here for the new future improvements coming. It will eventually be the park, everyone will want to live in. Patience, for new things to come.

It’s clean and a nice quiet community. If I had to say the only thing that I’m nervous about is the fact that my boys don’t have any water to play in during the summer time. Other than that so far everything has been good and been getting taken care of!

Changes take time but you can see from all the new mobile homes that it is happening. The owners and managers are very friendly and helpful. I would encourage you to move here. I do love the fact that you are out of the city. Everything you need is in smaller towns within 10 miles.

May 29, 2025 · William MortWe just ended a 29 year journey at Swan Lake Estates. In August of 1995 my husband and I purchased a mobile home from a couple on Lot 92. At that time the park was Ballerina Mobile Home Park. We had a guard shack, a school bus stop building (like the mailbox covering) and 3 Swans plus the geese in a beautiful and well stocked lake! I’ve lost track but I think Eleanor Porter is our 6th owner. Over the years due to mismanagement and a “we don’t care” attitude, this place went downhill quickly. When Eleanor purchased the park it seemed like we had a drug house every 3rd trailer. The park was filthy, run down and dangerous. Than Eleanor stepped in. Yes. She “cleaned house”! Some residents had not paid lot rent in 6 months to a year! Others had cars up on blocks with no tires that had been that way for months if not years! I’m certain you will read or hear how “mean” Eleanor is. That is not true! Is she stern? Yes. Is she demanding? Sometimes. Does she expect things done in a timely manner? Yes. And yes she can be hard headed. Now, here is what that has done…Most of the roads have been repaved, the lake is again clean and beautiful, most of the abandoned trailers are gone. There are beautiful new mobile homes ready to move in to and so many more plans in the works! Now, here’s the side of Eleanor Porter that people aren’t talking about. If you pay your monthly bill on time and keep your space clean and kept up, she will bend over backwards to help you if you need it! She finally has a park manager and crew that have a “get er done” attitude and also are friendly and helpful. So, if everything is all that good why did I leave? I had to go where my family is due to my age and health. The upkeep on my trailer was more than I could handle. If you want a nice, inexpensive community to raise kids or just live peacefully for your journey then call Swan Lake Estates and make the move! I pray your journey there is filled with as many blessings as mine was!
