Location and Accessibility
Owl Creek RV Park is conveniently situated at 7089 Outer Rd, Odessa, MO 64076, USA. This location places it strategically off the interstate, making it easily accessible for travelers coming from various directions within Missouri and beyond. Its proximity to major roadways means less time navigating intricate routes and more time enjoying your journey. For those working or visiting the Kansas City metropolitan area, Odessa offers a more relaxed setting while still providing reasonable commuting distance. The "Outer Rd" designation typically indicates a frontage road running parallel to a main highway, further emphasizing its ease of access for RVs, which require straightforward entry and exit points.
The accessibility of Owl Creek RV Park is a significant advantage for RV owners. The design of many RV parks prioritizes wide turns and spacious sites to accommodate larger vehicles, and its location on an outer road suggests a similar consideration. This ease of access contributes to a smoother and less stressful travel experience, particularly for those towing large RVs or unfamiliar with the area.
While the park’s location offers excellent accessibility to the interstate, it's worth noting that being close to a major thoroughfare can sometimes lead to ambient noise from traffic. This is a common trade-off for convenience in many RV park settings and something to consider depending on your preference for quietude. However, for many, the benefit of easy highway access far outweighs this consideration, especially for those who use the park as a base for exploring the wider Missouri region or for business travel.
The town of Odessa itself, while smaller than Kansas City, offers local amenities that campers might find useful, such as gas stations, grocery stores, and local dining options. This means you won't have to venture far for supplies or a quick meal, adding to the convenience of staying at Owl Creek RV Park. The combination of interstate access and local services makes this a practical and well-located choice for RVers in Missouri.

Customer Reviews
Staying in this campground while my boyfriend works remotely in KC as a Union Electrician. Nice campground but very disappointed in the spots. We were moved from a decent spot to basically our camper sitting on a spot on a street with cars & work trucks barely missing our camper kicking up constant dirt & dust. Kinda feel not treated right for the $$ spent for our long term stay we planned. Nice staff for sure but disappointed in our new spot. Our picnic table is behind our camper so I can sit there on a patch of soft grass with my Rottie for sunshine. Very nice dog park for them to do their business!
Would not recommend! When we first arrived the long term camper beside us had began to feed and house feral cats that where all over our camp site…the mom cat had kittens and tried to attack us and our dog several times. The kittens pooped all over our area and were crawling in and on our vehicles. We had to pop the hood of our trucks and pull the cats out a couple times while they tried to attack us. They did finally remove the cats after we had to complain for several weeks and ended up having to move sites to get away from them. I had to call the sheriffs department to finally get the issue resolved. The sheriff even informed me I was brave to call because this camp ground has kicked people out for getting the sheriffs involved in the past…what else are you supposed to do when they won’t fix the problem? The cats could have potentially cause serious damage to our vehicle when they got stuck under the hoods not to mention the cats could have been killed. Things finally went pretty alright for awhile; however, the whole camp ground is fairly noisy because it’s right off the interstate be ready for loud nights and the firework place across the way sets off fireworks pretty regularly late at night. We stayed here because my husband travels for work and we stayed for a couple months. I notified the office asap when he got laid off and was unable to pick up another job in the area after a huge unexpected layoff that he had no control over and that we would have to leave….this was literally a couple days after I had paid for a full month as they will charge you a late fee each day it is late. They refused to refund us any money at all after paying $700 and only staying a couple days into the month. There was one month as well that a bad snow storm came in and they closed the office…I tried to call and go up and pay our rent; however, they where closed for two days and I was unable to get ahold of anyone to pay…when I went into pay finally after they opened they charged me a late fee because they said I could have paid online…..nobody was able to inform me how to pay online and I had no idea I could pay online there is no information how to pay online on their website….they refunded me one late fee charge but would not wave the entire fee because I should have paid online….that would have been fine if they notified their customers they can pay online and how too. Not to mention the entire camp ground turns into a mud pit in the winter when it snows and rains nothing is maintained here. Communication is not very good here, we had several issues during our time here. We will not be back. We have stayed long term at several camp grounds over the last two years traveling for my husbands work and never had any issues like we have had here.
What a nice park. We stopped for 2 nights after driving through winter conditions in Kansas City. We'll maintained park. Did have an issue with water freezing as their heat tape stopped working but to their credit it was fixed immediately on a Sunday. Thanks for the great service. Store is nice. Would stay again
We stopped just for one night but would have stayed longer. The sites are large and level (ours was paved) both paved and gravel. The store is large with a variety of items. The bath house is nice, with lots of hot water. There are two shower rooms and two rest rooms, all are spacious. Activities include corn hole, horseshoes and play area. The salt pool is comfortable and just what you need for relaxation and exercise. The pool table is the laundry room where four sets of washers and dryers are located. Even though it is close to I-70, there was minimal noise and not at all disruptive. We'd stay here again and highly recommend Owl Creek to others.
We loved Owl Creek. The Campground looked as though they had a lot of long term campers but it got us off the highway and crazy winds that were plaguing the area. Conveniently located right off of I70, but that also means you hear the highway all day and all night. We patronized the owl creek cheese shop. Lots of cheeses, wines and various other wine and cheese related stuff. Campsights were smaller (narrow), not much personal space but water and electric were nice. Great little place to jump off and jump on and get on your way. No pictures as it was just a quick respite.
