Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

For Michiganders exploring housing options in the Fowlerville area and beyond, Grandshire Estates Manufactured Housing Community offers a particular kind of living solution. Its suitability for locals often comes down to its potential as an affordable entry point into homeownership within a structured community. The location in Fowlerville, with its excellent access to I-96, makes it a pragmatic choice for those commuting to nearby employment centers while preferring the quieter pace of a village.

However, it's crucial for prospective residents to conduct thorough due diligence, as the provided customer reviews highlight significant concerns regarding management practices, communication, and issues with home repairs and deposits. While the concept of a manufactured home park can offer community and affordability, the resident experience is heavily influenced by the management's responsiveness and transparency. Therefore, for locals considering Grandshire Estates, it is paramount to engage directly with the park management, ask detailed questions, obtain all agreements and promises in writing, and potentially seek independent verification of home conditions or terms before making any commitments.

The "park is awesome but the management sucks" sentiment from a long-term resident underscores a potential disconnect between the physical environment and the administrative experience. For those in Michigan looking for a manufactured home community, understanding that Grandshire Estates exists as an option in Fowlerville is useful, but a deeply cautious and informed approach is advised. Its suitability ultimately depends on an individual's willingness to navigate potential management challenges in exchange for the benefits of location and manufactured home living. It is a place that requires careful consideration and verification to ensure it aligns with one's expectations for a home and a community.

We were warned that shady business practices were experienced by those dealing with Park Management. We can attest to this experience ourselves. We were researching options to relocate and were promised our monies would be returned if we wanted to put down a deposit on a home that was owned by the Park. We were promised a lot of things...every one broken. The home repairs were delayed, then botched and did not pass home inspection when we hired a private party to test mechanicals, verify roof replacement etc.. We backed out of the situation and were denied our 400.00 deposit. We would counsel against involvement with this company...it was a long, stressful engagement trying to work things out.

I have lived here since 2011 the office is never open and they are all rude. When you have a problem all they can say is I’m sorry in a condencending way and with a smug look then they wonder why you get upset. They deposit post dated checks ahead of time and do not care if it costs their residents extra. Bad business and bad customer service. But they sure do not hesitate when they need to write a report or send you a bill. The park is awesome but the management sucks. Don’t expect anyone to treat you nice after your moved in either because ince the deal is done your a nobody. All you will ever see on the door is a note that the office is closed or that they are out to lunch. If you do happen to get someone rude treatment from staff is what you will get. That is after you get moved in. They treat you nice until the papers are signed then that’s it. You have been warned. Don’t believe me read some other reviews. Am I disgruntled yes and because there is no way to resolve problems since no one is ever in the office or cares about their residents this is ththe only way to get my voice heard.

I went in to see if they had trailers for rent since the manger seems to always be busy and never returns phone calls. When i got there Michelle "the manager" was VERY rude and began yelling and even swearing at me. While i was there i spoke with 2 residents who claimed that she never answers their calls either. This is absolutely NO way tenants and possible future tenants deserve to be treated. Corporate seriously needs to get a new manager, someone professional that actually wants to do their job and cares about their residents!!! I would NEVER move here or recommend this place to anyone!

My positive rating is only because of Michelle and Ashley in the office. They are attentive and they follow up on issues. That is IF they are aware of them. The Maitenance guy is terrible and tells you to contact him with issues and not the leasing office but he does this so he can push you off and ignore you and blame it on the office or better yet, the owner, which was done to me multiple times. If you need something fixed or have an issue, contact Michelle or Ashley only. They are awesome and will make sure you get taken care of.

Reaching out to the main office is a joke. Management is never around and when they are the office is closed. They go back on their word, alot. Tried asking the main office for help and all i got in return was a "oh, we'll look into it". Lot rent goes up five to ten dollars every year. Want me to continue? Update: The office was closed all of 2020. Getting in touch of management is still a joke. Lot rent went up another $10. Maintence on the park has hone way down hill. The maintence man will pile snow up around your car if you park in the street. Everybody that works in the office is rude.
